Would love for it in Nashville selfishly as it is 30 minute drive.I'm clinging to hope for the Music City Bowl. Three hour drive from me, and I've got friends I could stay with. Purdue went last year at 6-6 (5-4), so it's possible.

There are about 20 games today that could either clinch a bowl bid or eliminate a team from APR consideration.
I have decided the best way for me to ensure an Illini victory on Saturday is to write an extended post that will immediately become irrelevant upon gaining their 6th win...
It sure does feel like itClearly Illinois is playing in the national championship. Go ahead and shut this thread down.
I don’t understand the title of this thread
I UNDERSTAND THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD!!!
honestly, this is a heck of a lot bigger than a bowl game. This is a program shifting stretch of games for Illinois. It sure does feel like it
How much of a difference is 6-6 vs 7-5? I would guess not much. But I'm guessing 8-4 would make a big difference as to what bowl we go to?
TV usually wants multiple media markets so Missouri isn't ideal from that standpoint. Also, looking like Mizzou will finish 6-6 or 7-5 at best. How likely is a matchup with them? Wouldn't a bowl committee want to match 2 rivals up to garner more interest?

If it’s Armed Forces, drinks on me...for everyone.
That's one of the ones my family will make the trip to. You best believe I'll be taking you up on that offer if it comes down to it!!
I’d say that’s probably right.
Quick Lane could be interesting should that be our option. Illinois-Pittsburgh or Illinois-Virginia Tech would both be good games.
I think 6 wins is quick lane. 7, I think gets us to pinstripe. 8, things get interesting, maybe holiday bowl? Maybe tax Slater?
Shoot. If that's true, that's depressing. That's the one I selfishly want more than any other. For those hoping for a Nashville bowl, I don't think it's possible. From 2014–19, the Music City and Gator will each get Big Ten team three times. A B1G team has gone to Nashville the past 3 years which means it's back to the Gator Bowl for the B1G.

Jacksonville, here I come!Thinking we end up in the Gator Bowl.
