How much of a difference is 6-6 vs 7-5? I would guess not much. But I'm guessing 8-4 would make a big difference as to what bowl we go to? Also, looking like Mizzou will finish 6-6 or 7-5 at best. How likely is a matchup with them? Wouldn't a bowl committee want to match 2 rivals up to garner more interest?

I’d say that’s probably right.

Quick Lane could be interesting should that be our option. Illinois-Pittsburgh or Illinois-Virginia Tech would both be good games.

Obviously early and highly speculative but if we did get to the Armed Forces, that would be an incredible opportunity for prime exposure. It’s the only bowl on that day.

I think 6 wins is quick lane. 7, I think gets us to pinstripe. 8, things get interesting, maybe holiday bowl? Maybe tax Slater?

At 7, I’d say we’re probably locked in to the PinStripe. At 8, I’m not sure. I think Michigan is likely locked into the Holiday. Tax Slayer would make a lot of sense. Maybe Illinois-Tennessee?

It feels so good to have this conversation.

For those hoping for a Nashville bowl, I don't think it's possible. From 2014–19, the Music City and Gator will each get Big Ten team three times. A B1G team has gone to Nashville the past 3 years which means it's back to the Gator Bowl for the B1G.

Shoot. If that's true, that's depressing. That's the one I selfishly want more than any other.

RedBox Bowl would also be a strong possibility. Hard to peg us and Indiana as bowl candidates but they wouldn’t a candidate for RedBox, makes me think that’s our spot.

Maybe Illinois-ASU? Lovie vs Herm, that could be compelling to that committee.

I would give anything to get this team to head back down to FL for a bowl game. I've been down here over twenty years and so far only have a Micron PC bowl (which we did win) to show for it. Anywhere south of the FL/GA line and I'm there.
