Today was a travel day for a conference at Michigan State of all places, but this year was mixed on my feelings for cinema. That said, pretty happy with the results overall at quick glance, especially with the Anora wins. Sean Baker is an incredible storyteller ("Tangerine" and "The Florida Project" are so wildly original).
I've been trying to get to see Anora in the theater since it opened, but I've had to go on several trips, and other newer releases resulted in my not seeing it yet. Tangerine is saved in one of my streaming ques but I've not gotten to it either. I saw Florida Project when it was released and absolutely loved it. The cool thing about that movie is that I talked my sister into watching it with me, and she's NOT a theater goer at all, and she loved it! I'll have to do better on making the time to see Anora/Tangerine in the very near future.Today was a travel day for a conference at Michigan State of all places, but this year was mixed on my feelings for cinema. I'll add some commentary later this week!
