I'll echo this. Saw it in IMAX, which was worth the experience to be in a filled theater (on a mid-week early afternoon, no less). I have my qualms with Nolan's body of work, but greatly appreciate his influence and advocacy for cinema.I can’t speak for Disclosure Day.
But I did see the Odyssey. It was entertaining and well done…as you’d expect from Nolan…
It wasn’t life changing or anything but does live up to the word “epic.”There were was a bit of nod to Harryhausen
with Cyclops. (At least that’s what I think they were trying to do.)
It's been a fun year for movies in the theater (Backrooms & Obsession) were two others I really quite enjoyed alongside the tension they brought. Project Hail Mary was another. Feels like there's a recovery period happening outside the stream-ification of movies, which brings me joy.
