This is what Sports Illustrated predicted this morning.

West Region

No. 1 Gonzaga vs. No. 16 Norfolk State/Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
No. 8 TCU vs. No. 9 North Carolina
No. 5 Iowa vs. No. 12 Chattanooga
No. 4 Providence vs. No. 13 South Dakota State
No. 6 Texas vs. No. 11 Davidson*
No. 3 Illinois vs. No. 14 Delaware
No. 7 Boise State vs. No. 10 Iowa State
No. 2 Tennessee* vs. No. 15 Yale
The only way IL can be a 3 and perhaps easier way Iowa can be a 5 is for both to be thrown out west. We shall see.

I hope Illini get a 4 seed in Baylor's regional. They are the most overrated team in the country. They are rated based on last year's team.

Lunardi had credibility? Guy came up with a tremendous angle years ago in the early days of the web. He’s really picking about 5 spots for 8 teams. It can be a fun distraction but it’s not like he’s particularly good at this.
Has anyone ever printed his final bracket and compare it to the actual brackets?

Bracket matrix actually scores all the bracketologists on accuracy (3pts for each team predicted, 3pts for each seed correctly predicted, 1pt for each seed incorrectly predicted but within 1 seed line). Over a 5-year average Lunardi ranks 55th out of 135 and his score is 7 pts. above the mean, on average. So he's not the best, but he is above average in the field, FWIW.

Quick look through some of the higher rated sites with more active years... See a lot of lower 4 seeds for us.

Am I right that we haven't been a 2 or 3 seed since 1988? It's either been 1 or 4 (or worse obviously). Weird.
