Looking at potential matchups, I think I’d rather stay on the 8/9 line? It’s clear we struggle against really strong offensive teams, and have a decent chance against balanced or defensive teams

Likely 1 Seeds
Houston - Bad matchup
Kansas - Okay matchup
Alabama - Okay matchup
Purdue - Okay matchup

Potential 2 Seeds
UCLA - Okay matchup
Baylor - Bad matchup
Texas - Okay matchup
Arizona - Bad matchup
Gonzaga - Bad matchup
Marquette - Bad matchup
breaking news : EVERY matchup for us in any round is a bad matchup

Lol, oh Dickie V, keep drinking that kool-aid! He's probably right, but I think it's ridiculous, "Kansas will be the #1 overall seed come tomorrow," as Texas grows the lead to 20.

Texas will be 1 game worse and beating them like a drum. Texas should jump them. Texas beat them by 16 a week ago for those saying, well this was without Self.

The "body" of work isn't much different, so end of year head to head should be a factor.

I've heard this a ton lately, likely because they have an insane number of Q1 wins. Maybe they'll give it to Bama or Houston instead given Kansas is getting pummeled?

Anyone heard anything on the Marcus Sasser injury for Houston? That could be huge. Won't change seeding, but meaning for their success.

Who cares they lost by 20 after playing 3 straight games. That is not how the tournament is played. It will not affect seeding much. Anything past the first round doesn’t have as much weight

Not sure how luck is calculated but this year more than ever it felt like it wasn’t so much who you played but when you played them. By that metric we were certainly unlucky. @PSU, and our home game against Indiana not sure anyone would win those matchups. We play @OSU 2 weeks earlier and it’s probably a12-15 point win.

Let’s get healthy and rested and see what we can do.
They make their own bad luck the way they gameplan. Im sure plenty of teams would have won those games. Its not unlucky when its happening all season, its lack of execution. Hopefully something clicks in the next week, not holding my breathe though.

I want nothing to do with Creighton. Give me the 10 against Mizzou or someone else

If you've got a time machine and already saw our first round game, feel free to use that sucker to go back and fix the season.

I have been following.

We have to play the games before a result is recorded. We've played Missouri once. I don't love our chances given our first performance against them, but it's not over yet.

Brad Evan's bracket isn't even the official bracket. It's one prognostication. Back away from the ledge at least until after the Selection Show tomorrow.

I gave you my thoughts on the proposed matchup ....You don't have to like it.
But again these are my thoughts....I'm not on a ledge I just pointed out some facts before a supposed match up v mizz

There is no concern on my part who this team plays in any round. I just want them to play well on both ends. If that is not good enough...so be it. But I want them all to play well, enjoy it, and have some fun. They have played well lately, improving ball security some, getting CoHawk to understand how easy it is for him to carry the team if he just considers scoring in the paint, getting Ty and Harris to feel part of the team on both ends, getting RJ and Goode back to being RJ and Goode, and getting DD going early. Improve on all those a little and the Illini are tough for any team to beat, not Creighton, Mizzou, etc, etc, etc.

Lol more worried about facing a team we have a good chance of beating. Creighton is capable of a deep run in March, Miznoz isn’t, imo. I will take the worse team regardless of rivalry.
