I'd guess that they've already blown by usIf penn state wins the big ten tournament do we get bumped down a seed line
Hopefully, but I think the committee keeps us on the 8/9 line instead of the 10 imoIf penn state wins the big ten tournament do we get bumped down a seed line
Also to the poster who said we have had incredible luck this year, Kenpom has us as the 285th luckiest team in college basketball this year
Why do you say that? Just that our body of work compared to other similar teams is 8/9 line, or another reason? I too am hoping to drop to 10.Hopefully, but I think the committee keeps us on the 8/9 line instead of the 10 imo
Body of work and conference, etc. Also they could very well want the Kansas storylineWhy do you say that? Just that our body of work compared to other similar teams is 8/9 line, or another reason? I too am hoping to drop to 10.
This forecast shows 10Why do you say that? Just that our body of work compared to other similar teams is 8/9 line, or another reason? I too am hoping to drop to 10.
Funny that the first three 10 seeds are Illinois, Iowa, Penn State . . And scUM is nowhere near getting selected. This forecast shows 10

And that two of the 7 seeds are Michigan State and Northwestern. So five Big Ten teams in those 7/10 matchups, going to have to move at least one Big Ten team into the 8/9 gameFunny that the first three 10 seeds are Illinois, Iowa, Penn State . . And scUM is nowhere near getting selected.![]()
Seems pretty reasonable.Funny that the first three 10 seeds are Illinois, Iowa, Penn State . . And scUM is nowhere near getting selected.![]()
And Vanderbilt, right? Believe they're a potential bid thiefBoy, if you're Rutgers, you're praying for Ohio State to lose(UAB as well).
They should be smarter than counting on us to win the Round of 64 game though.Body of work and conference, etc. Also they could very well want the Kansas storyline
I think it will be very tough to beat the 8th seed, let alone seeing KU, Saban or Houston in R2.They should be smarter than counting on us to win the Round of 64 game though.
But seriously, bring it on. At least we'd get to play Kansas potentially in Des Moines instead of trekking down to Birmingham, AL to play Alabama or Houston. I will be OK if we go down swinging in a competitive game with a blueblood. Bill Self is almost 20 years ago. (Edit: wow, I feel old)
On the other hand, I am not looking forward to all the negative hot takes if they lose to Kelvin Sampson and Houston again. The agitated old guys will be calling into the post-game show calling for Underwood to be fired.
Side note, I was thinking that if Iowa stays on the 8-9 line, they won't get sent to a pod with possible #1 Purdue, and surely they won't get sent to the Des Moines pod with #1 Kansas (right?), so they could be destined for Birmingham... again increasing the odds that a 9-seed Illinois goes to Des Moines.
Nick Saban is coaching hoops now???I think it will be very tough to beat the 8th seed, let alone seeing KU, Saban or Houston in R2.
No.Could we meet Missouri in an 8 V 9 match up?
