I also wonder how much of Underwood leaving Stillwater had to do with coming to a basketball school. OSU is gonna be football first always.

Very impressed. Underwood plays a style that the best UI teams have played.. We may be on to something really special here.

One step at a time. I am now allowing myself to start getting a bit nervous about our recruits. I don't think we lose all of them, but you know things happen.

Good point. My post was assuming the recruits stay.

One thing we can take away....When Josh Whitman does things, he keeps it all close to the vest. Literally no one had any idea Underwood was even a serious candidate.

Was watching the Michigan-OSU game yesterday (To watch Jawun Evans, mainly) and thought OSU was really, really fun to watch. Hope that see that same energy at SFC.

Anxious to see what happens with Walker and the recruiting class, as well as Mark Smith. You'd have to think he likes this hire.

Josh. Freaking. Whitman.

Maybe late with the information, but here goes.

I'm a Kansas fan and we were all really impressed with OSU's upgrade from Travis Ford to Underwood.

It cost OSU 7.5 Million plus or minus to get rid of Ford, so they were a little short of money for the new coach when they hired Underwood.

FYI, because of Kansas tying the Conference Championship this was the natural year for Self to be voted Big 12 COY. Brad Underwood was also mentioned by many, and was the choice for Self, since he can't vote for himself.

Expect LOTS of offense and excitement.

Congrats, we're happy NOT to see him 2 or 3 times every season! You got a good one!

Underwood himself says his offense is positionless. Our stable of wings will come in very handy. I haven't seen Pickett play but if he is as well rounded as people say, he will be very good over the next 4 years in this system. Underwood won the turnover battle vs wva last year in the first round as well. Will be interesting to see if our guys can handle pressing in that way.

If he stays, I see DJ Williams using his size to great effect in this system. Lots of wings getting down on the block.

Great hire! Oh Boy, this going to be great! (Flounder from Animal House...)

This is also going to contribute to some interesting musical chairs, California is open, Indiana is open, OSU is open...

Glad we sat down early!
