Ironically, reverse the concept, and that’s why the SEC continues to get 12 teams ranked in the top 25 every year…

For better or worse, ND is being judged negatively by many because they lost at home to NIU in September. Reality for ND is that they are a top 5 caliber team with the worst kicking game in football. That will likely be the difference in the game vs Georgia if it is close.

What did Franklin just go for it from their own 20.. Trying to put SMU back in the game. You punt that every time.... I see why the PSU fan base is getting restless. And the PSU defense gets another INT.... 3 one of the half...

This is how every PSU game goes this year. Remember back to the Illinois-PSU game where it felt like Illinois was just one good drive away from being in the game, but they could just never do anything against the PSU defense.

Then you blink and they're somehow ahead by 2 TDs.

If anyone can Lose a game for a great team. It's Coach James Franklin at Penn State. Going for it from his own 20 up 14 early in 2nd quarter. Wow, SMU pull your Qb1. Just Horrible. He got money on this game, my goodness.

PSU went for it on 4th and 1 from their own 19, missed it, and SMU still didn't score. That's how much PSU trusts their defense.

Last two at-large teams in getting thoroughly beat in relatively uncompetitive games. Those clamoring that 12 teams is too many is getting pretty good ammunition for their case.

We are definitely seeing the ACC as a very weak conference this year.
