We get them in Champaign this year. They lose a lot of guys on defense n off.
And they have a $20M+/yr NIL war chest, so I think they'll be just fine. Can Day mold them into a team as good as this one? Who knows. But they'll still outclass just about everyone else on talent no matter how much turnover they have.We get them in Champaign this year. They lose a lot of guys on defense n off.
username checks out
2-1Because they went 3-1 against them in the playoffs?
Anyone hear rumors about how much NIL ND has? I was reading one of the articles on collectives, and it seems $10M puts you in top ten ish range. So OSU had double or more than most everyone. That is stunning. And they have a $20M+/yr NIL war chest, so I think they'll be just fine. Can Day mold them into a team as good as this one? Who knows. They beat Indiana, Georgia, and Penn State. The original post said Big Ten (or SEC).
Even before the missed field goal, that decision was really head-scratching. At that point in the game, possessions are more important. A field goal does nothing there, as you still need two TDs to win. ND had to think about the game as a two-possession game and what’s the best way to make it a one-score game.yes it does HUGE difference between 8 point game and a 5 point one.
True. They beat Indiana, Georgia, and Penn State. The original post said Big Ten (or SEC).
With you in spirit but SEC 0-2 the last two years softens that a lot for me.The more things change, the more they stay the same? Michigan and now tOSU as national champs. The rich stay rich I guess
I would also add that the rich were always going to stay rich. But what I like is that this NIL era has seemingly helped programs like ours that have decent (if not OSU-level) resources and are now willing and able to leverage them properly. Hopefully we can spin that into more sustained success over the next few years. With you in spirit but SEC 0-2 the last two years softens that a lot for me.
Not sure if that is accurate.Anyone hear rumors about how much NIL ND has? I was reading one of the articles on collectives, and it seems $10M puts you in top ten ish range. So OSU had double or more than most everyone. That is stunning.
ManningAnd oh by the way, opening weekend this fall includes Texas at Ohio State.
The rich already paid the best players. That won't change just because everyone else can now do the same. The more things change, the more they stay the same? Michigan and now tOSU as national champs. The rich stay rich I guess
Fixed!I would also add that the rich were always going to stay rich.
