Having watched IU quite a bit this season, they just never seem to put themselves in a really bad situation. They don’t commit pre-snap penalties. They don’t commit holding penalties on first down to make it 1st and 20. They don’t commit stupid dead ball penalties.

They are simply a disciplined, well-drilled, and efficient football team. The margin of error is a lot higher when you don’t step on your own feet.

My genuine question for those that are IU haters... why?

We have very little history with them in football, other than 2 bottom feeders playing meaningless games against each other.
i'm not in the group you're asking, but it gives me great joy to see an historically bad program stick it to the blue bloods.

Wish it was us, but I'm confident we're headed in the right dorection.

ND would get more respect if they were 10-2 in a conference . but they choose not to because it’s harder to do in a league

so there’s that
That may be a consideration, but that is likely not the primary reason for remaining independent. The NBC contract is lucrative.

They also agree to play 5 ACC teams per year, mixed in with their 2-3 B1G opponents per year. Looking at their future schedule, it is actually not super easy. Next season, 10 of their games are against P5 competition, exceptions are Rice and Navy.

I think the BYU argument is pretty weak after TT lost 23-0 to the 3rd best team in the BT.
This is where I'm at too. I always think the B12 is overrated. My hot take from yesterday is that Nebby has a loooong way to go. Getting steamrolled by Utah, yikes. Not having Johnson making something out of nothing made them look...bad.

Oregon is a West Coast interloper, not even from the midwest
Ducks don’t play football
Ducks migrate down the Mississippi fly away every fall and we sit in our duck blinds waiting for them.
Ducks, stupid mascot.
Oregon has ugly uniforms.
I rest my case

he always looks serious , doesn’t he ?

not sure he’s fun at parties . but the dude can coach like Knute Rockne
It's his job during games to be serious, no? I'd be concerned, if I was a fan and he was out there goofing off and laughing like I do at work sometimes.
I watched the 60 minutes interview and he seemed pretty chill.

I get all that . but rest assured they have A LOT of input as to when those ACC games are played

they would make similar money in the B1G , but they would have basically zero influence on weeks 5-13 with the schedule and winning 10 or 11 would be way harder .

and the 5 acc games are hardly like conference games .
