Someone please post that chart with Blake Corum ahead of him in Chase's locker this morning.
We should be putting that up in front of the defense. That battle will be our defense against "THE BEST RB IN THE BIG TEN." Chase will do his thing week in and week out. You can show him too if you think that will help him finish more runs for TDs but I think it will pump up our defense more than Chase.

It would be great if he got to make the trip but he isn't winning the Heisman unless he has a huge increase in TDs. Love the publicity for Illinois and Brown though!

Best case scenario is we get McCray back next game or two and Brown is the focal point but McCray takes away some of his carries. I would rather keep a healthy Brown than one that will tire down at the end of the season. Time to get Thunder and Lightning back together for the home stretch :illinois:

It's a YPC thing and a lack of TD thing. Chase is amazing and we owe him our season. His YPC is around 15th best I think. He has the most yards but way more attempts. Not his fault really and comparing our OL to Michigan 5 stars etc could explain away a lot of the difference, but that's basically the reasoning.

Honestly, I think it'd be better for our team overall if McCray can come back and give us a 1-2 punch....but it'll likely mean a blow to Brown's Heisman chances. OR maybe not....maybe with the Thunder (McCray), it gives the Lightning (Brown) more chances to break the long ones and up the yards on fewer carries.

Corum ahead of Brown has to be based on TDs and team ranking right? Those are not really good metrics for which is actually better or more valuable.
Which would you rather have--the second or third leading rusher in the country with 13 TDs, or the #1 yardage gainer in the country with 4 TDs. Granted there's a correlation to how that yardage relates to overall scoring, but the simple fact is that scUM has rushed the ball into the endzone 24 times to our 9.

I'm not saying I'd trade Brown for Corum, but I can't make a case that Brown is more Heisman worthy without cherry-picking stats.
