Getting old flashbacks of Tony Eason on that naked bootleg. Happened quite often IIRC.When you have a running attack like ours and a QB with above average legs....you stack the line and NAKED BOOTLEG!!

My strategy when the NL's and I play naked twister..........................................He shoots , he scores............................................I really really do.........................When you have a running attack like ours and a QB with above average legs....you stack the line and NAKED BOOTLEG!!
You don’t need to post any pictures! We believe you.My strategy when the NL's and I play naked twister..........................................He shoots , he scores............................................I really really do.........................
Also some great blocking downfield on the touchdown by I Williams.I think the thing that Chase does not get enough credit for is his hands. There was a catch yesterday that was amazing. It looked like a screen play. If he is going to play at the next level teams will value that aspect of his game
Love both. On tenacity, I take Chase. On ability, I think Rashard. Maybe a recency bias, but I will take Chase.I haven’t started to look at NFL draft boards. But Chase Brown looks like a NFL running back. Question for the fans who have followed the Illini for a while would you want Chase or Rashard Mendenhall as your top Illinois running back in the last 20 years.
I think Rashard had a higher top speed but Chase has more power and can run up the middle better. Also Chase has better hands.

Got to be in the conversation, but I won't argue with any of the three. To hell with you for making us choose!/s
I feel guilty saying so in this thread, but Chase is no Rashard.I haven’t started to look at NFL draft boards. But Chase Brown looks like a NFL running back. then I dont think you saw Simeon Rice play.I feel guilty saying so in this thread, but Chase is no Rashard.
Corey Liuget is probably the best player I've seen in an Illinois uniform regardless of position, but I'd say Rashard is #2.
Correct. A little before my time.then I dont think you saw Simeon Rice play.
According to the site from my friend who’s a agent he has a 2-3 round grade!I haven’t started to look at NFL draft boards. But Chase Brown looks like a NFL running back. Love Chase, but he has almost 200 more carries than Rashard in his career. Rashard also has a career ypc average that is higher than any one season for Chase — and over a yard more than Chase’s this year. And, of course, Rashard only played 3 seasons. As great as Chase has been this season, nod goes to Rashard.Correct. A little before my time.
I'm thinking Kittner era to present.
Now of course the original question was which guy would you rather have, so like peak quality, highest talent level, that sort of thing.
Chase Brown is already past Rashard on the Illini rushing list though, and may well be remembered as having the greater, more impactful career, which is no easy feat.
Will this season mean more in Illini history than the Rose Bowl year? That being a non-ridiculous question is pretty exciting, huh?
Still one of my favorite games I’ve been toGot to be in the conversation, but I won't argue with any of the three.

I’m sure being in the student section during the Rose Bowl season skews my bias here, but Rashard. I’m pretty sure he was faster and like 20 lbs heavier. The bonus of those NEZ seats is you’re at the madden angle, so you see what all the jump cuts, the jukes, the spins, and the plant your leg and go bursts look like. Rashard was something serious.I haven’t started to look at NFL draft boards. But Chase Brown looks like a NFL running back. I myself agree with Rice , and his buddy Hardy was a great one as well IMOthen I dont think you saw Simeon Rice play.
I'd say Gritty never saw Butkus play, and I think I'd be right.then I dont think you saw Simeon Rice play.
Man, my parents were barely born when Butkus played at Illinois.I'd say Gritty never saw Butkus play, and I think I'd be right.
