That game definitely looked like two bottom-feeders hashing it out. On the plus side, for the first time you can say the Bears won a game and it was largely because of Trubisky. Being the pessimistic Bears fan that I am, I wonder how different things would have gone if the Browns pick six on the first play of the second half hadn't been called back for an offsides penalty, and they hadn't turned the ball over twice in the red zone.

Not Bears but it is NFL related:

NFL has finalized their Week 17 schedule and there will be no Sunday night game next week either. They are doing this to ensure that all the matchups that will impact each other and that have playoff implications will be played at the same time. The following games have been flexed for next week from 1 PM ET to 4:25 PM ET:

-Saints @ Bucs
-Panthers @ Falcons
-Bengals @ Ravens
-Bills @ Dolphins
-Jaguars @ Titans

Every other game that was not already scheduled to be in the 1 PM ET or 4:25 PM ET kickoffs will remain at their same time.

Bears first half stats: total yards 53; penalty yards 91. Sums up that sorry bunch pretty well.

Does anybody get why Fox went for it on fourth and goal from the eight down three scores, and then the next drive kicks a 55 yard field goal?

I've never seen such a wretched set of plays inside the ten yard line in my life.:(:censored::doh::sick::smash::frustrated::rage::rant::hurl:

And thus ends another Bears season. This coming offseason is going to be a HUGE one for the Bears front office. My two personal picks for the next Bears coach would be either Pat Shurmur or Dave Toub.

66 yards in the first 3 quarters. 135 in the last quarter.

In a game that was nowhere near as close as the score makes it look.

As pathetic as the offense has been all year, I don't know why I'm continuing to be amazed at how pathetic the offense is.

So who is your dream coach next year?

Mine has been Chucky, but it sounds like he ends up in Oakland.

I'm just as happy as the next guy to see Fox go. But can someone riddle me this, since Pace saw fit to not have a capable nfl starting quarterback on the roster, and your top wide receiver is a no. 3 or 4 on most other squads, exactly how was this supposed to be a good offense again?

The Bears pick eighth overall in the draft this spring. Next year's schedule besides the six games against the NFC North includes games against the Patriots, Bills, Dolphins, Jets, Rams, Seahawks, Cardinals, 49ers, Bucs, and Giants.

+1. Pace got schooled by a rookie GM that picked up 4 starters for a one pick jump by the bears that got them exactly what they could have gotten with the pick they already had and then that GM went out and got Jimmy Garoppolo. I think we have ther wrong GM!

The management of the team is the biggest problem. Fox may not be the best coach but he has little to work with. Firing Fox today might have solved one of the symptoms, but it certainly didnt cure the sickness

I guess every three years or so we have to listen to "Sweaty Teddy" Phillips say a bunch of garbage from a podium after another coaching change, but my favorite from yesterday was that "Ryan Pace has shown a clear vision of how to put together a winning organization." Huh? His record as gm is the same as Foxy's as head coach. It makes sense I guess that they extended the boy blunder's contract through 2021 to align with the probable four year deal to be signed by the next head coach. But me thinks there is tremendous pressure on next year's squad to make the playoffs. Another five or six win season will have bear fans showing up at Halas Hall with pitchforks and torches, or even worse not showing up at all.

The #Bears interviewed DC Vic Fangio for the head coaching position today. GM Ryan Pace conducted it. A top in-house candidate.

I don't understand this...if he was a candidate, why not fire Fox before the season ended and let Fangio be the interim head coach? This would allow him some on the job training, and Pace could have watched to see how he ran things!

I believe we have a GM that doesn't know what he is doing working for a President that doesn't know what he is doing working for owners that don't know what they are doing. That certainly seems like the most plausible explanation.

Building up Fangio's market value? Courtesy interview? Didn't he interview for the job when they hired Fox, or was that Gase?

This team has so many problems. Firing Fox is not going to fix 95% of them. Yes he is stubborn and makes some questionable decisions. Overall, he had next to nothing to work with so expecting a quick turnaround because of a coaching change is a pipe dream imo. In fact, they could easily do worse. Fix the personel problems and then worry about the coach.

Owners who don't know what they are doing is the operative phrase there. The rest follows from that.

Thank you, the next coach has to be given more talent, lots of holes on this offense, the D wasn't bad at all.
