Obviously getting to Kluber is the first objective, but if it gets to that point it is also the 3rd go-round against him, and the 2nd on short-rest. The Cubs have put themselves in as best a chance to pull off the comeback.

What I love most is how much fun they're still having, even in the face of adversity. Last night Chapman came in after striking out Lindor and was yelling "4, 4, 4!" because he got to bat 4th that inning. Then Maddon recommended they have costumes for their flight tonight.

"It ain't over 'til it's over."

That's really good to hear, I was not aware of either of those things. Watching the postgame interviews, and judging by everyone's tone, I would have guessed they lost that game. They didn't of course and I'm sure they were pumped that they won, I was just expecting them to sound more upbeat. Ultimately I assumed that they "won hard" like they normally do and then were already locking back in for Game 6.

The good thing is that perhaps they can use Lester in game 6 if necessary and game 7 if it gets to that.

Uh, wouldn't the Indians be seeing Hendricks for the third time?

Are the Cubs the only team to enjoy this advantage :D

Cleveland would be seeing Hendricks for the 2nd time this series.

Game 1 - Lester
2 - Arrieta
3 - Hendricks
4 - Lackey
5 - Lester
6 - Arrieta
7 (if necessary) - Hendricks

Schwarbs batting in the 2 hole tonite.

No way does Tomlin hold us under 3 runs tonite . I ( and Vegas) likes our chances .

Gotta love the protection behind Schwarber.

So according to Rizzo on the radio, we know 2-5 tonight. I'll have fun with the rest:
1. Fowler, CF
2. Schwarber, DH
3. Bryant, 3B
4. Rizzo, 1B
5. Zobrist, LF
6. Contreras, C
7. Russell, SS
8. Heyward, RF
9. Baez, 2B

That would be my guess. Maddon could flip 6 & 7, but I think Javy has indeed played himself into #9.

If I'm Maddon, I give Coghlan one more shot in RF tonight.

I would not put it past him, but don't see it happening. Heyward is swinging a very hot stick right now and you have to keep riding it.

I really like Contreras but not sure I like him playing tonight. Hope he proves me wrong.

you need his arm . Jake has a slow , deliberate delivery, and Contreras has a cannon . Montero, as good a guy as he is, not so much.

Ross is available to catch later in the game if they want to use Lester for an inning. Joe did not come out and say it, but its obvious he pulled Lester in game 5 when he did , so as to leave some gas in the tank for a spot inning of relief if needed tonite or Wed , if we win tonite

ha!, I am not surprised with the switch of 6 & 7 from your good guess. If Russel gets on via bunt, walk or legit hit, he needs to run , run, run. Same with Heyward and Baez

It's weird, throughout the whole season I was so anti-small ball, but now I can't wait to see it.

yea, when the homer bats go silent (eg. Rizzo has had like what, 3 in the last 6-7 weeks ?) you need to put up 3 or 4 runs by getting men on 2nd or 3rd with 0 or 1 out and get them home any way you can.

If I were the guys I mentioned, you need to get on base and then over to 2nd or 3rd using creative ways

Oh I get that, I was thinking more Ross as he seems to have a certain presence on the field. Either way great 1st inning just want to see it keep going.

Every ball player's dream -- game 7.

We have the momentum. We get our third look at Kluber and the weather favors the batters . I like our chances

Thinking the ratings tonight might just top anything...ever....

I too am going to puke. Not sure my heart can take it either. This is why they grow Medicinal Marijuana....isn't it.....if it isn't, it should be.....

In order to avoid the thought of how tense tonight will be, here is my predicted lineup for game 7...of the World Series:

1. Fowler, CF (Age 30)
2. Schwarber, DH (23)
3. Bryant, 3B (24)
4. Rizzo, 1B (27)
5. Zobrist, LF (35)
6. Russell, SS (22)
7. Contreras, C (24)
8. Heyward, RF (27)
9. Baez, 2B (23)
*Hendricks, P (26)

With Contreras struggling in the WS (1/17), it might be interesting to see Ross behind the plate.
