Chicago Cubs 2021 season

Cubs relievers 1st among MLB bullpens in both K rate AND ground ball rate. That’s a pretty amazing 1, 2 punch.

3rd in ERA, HR rate and stranded runner percentage.

We should know a lot about them by the end of June. Schedule looks tough.

By comparison, here's what Milwaukee has between now and when they play the Cubs at the end of June:

-3 @ Nationals
-2 vs. Tigers
-2 vs. Diamondbacks
-3 @ Reds
-3 vs. Pirates
-3 vs. Reds
-4 @ Rockies
-3 @ Diamondbacks
-3 vs. Rockies

They also have sort of an odd schedule quirk where they host the Reds the last 4 games of the first half before the All-Star Break and then play at Cincinnati the first 3 games coming out of the All-Star Break.

Amazing. No one even sniffing .500.

Can’t really complain about losing by more than 1 run for the first time in a month.

The schedule gets real over the next month, starting with the Padres tomorrow.

Ah, the Cubbies ... Chicago’s second best baseball team. 😉

all time regular season wins between the two clubs:
Sox 64
Cubs 62

I actually thought the Sox were a little bit more ahead of that 64-62 record.
just shows how close it has been
many years its been a wash

And it seems like the team with the worse record always wins

And the Sox beat the Cubs 4-2 in the 1906 World Series....and the Sox had the worse regular season record.
