also , there are no seats in the shade

It depends on which one you go to. The one I went to had 2 separate levels. The lower level seats were entirely in the shade and they also had an inside area with food and air conditioning where you could still see the game.

Shaw doesn’t have to be all that good to be a big plus for the Cubs. He just has to field his position and not be an automatic out.

The fact that he’s hitting .355/.412/.516 in the 8 games since being called up is pure gravy. If he can merely sustain his full season .670 OPS the rest of the way as the “worst” hitting regular in the Cubs lineup, while continuing to look great fielding third, that will be good enough.

And not just because he fills a need, but because he fills a need without us giving anything up. There has been plenty of speculation on the Cubs adding at 3rd. It sure would be nice to be able to use any relatively expandable assets on pitching, rather than help in the field.

A sweep is a sweep is a sweep and the wind was blowing in but the Cubs better crank up their offense this weekend. Rockies E.R.A. was approaching 6 before this series but looked pretty good giving up only 9 runs in 3 games (one being the ghost runner).
It's amazing that the Rockies only have 2 games left to hit double digit wins before June.

Fixed it for you.....
Quick Prediction at the ONE-THIRD OF SEASON NOW COMPLETE mark:

96-66 Solid as the #2 seed in NL (BTW, identical to the record of the 1984 Eastern Division Champs). Zack Gallen has a solid final 2 months of the season and slides in as our #2 starter behind S. Imanaga.

Seeing Gallen's regression has me hesitant for the Cubs to make a move on him. Depth in the rotation is absolutely needed, with Hoyer et al. needing to make some moves, but the upside isn't there for me on Gallen as a rental.

I agree unless they can get him very cheaply.
