Chicago Cubs 2026

Boyd going tonight... Rea has been great, and Assad... well... 2 out of 3 ain't bad... but it will be nice to not have to lean on those guys. I assume Rea goes back to the pen, since he is more of a swing man anyway, but we shall see...

Sounds like we got good news on Palencia. They expect him to be able to resume throwing as early as later this week, and available soon after his IL stint expires.

7 in a row is pretty sweet. If only we could get the Reds to be a bit more cooperative... I still think we are the class of the division.

That play in the 9th. Lol

That looked like a High School Freshman B team throw. He threw that about 8-10 feet wide of the bag. The reliever(Webb?) was PI$$ED coming off the mound.

Webb had reason to be ticked. He’d induced 3 ground balls and got zero outs. Two were seeing-eye grounders that just found a hole, but that Kingery play was a tailor-made double play.

How quickly the Chicken Little talk gets turned around.
8 straight wins will do that, but the pitching injury crisis being somewhat less crippling than it initially seemed is probably even more important.

Even PCA went 3-for-4 last night. We're gonna be okay!

We are on a heater and the pitching has been solid. I have said it for 2 years and it’s finally paying off that Brown is a reliever. He has been solid and the rest of the bullpen pen have found their roles. We are still a 90 plus win team.

Busch and Suzuki both had two hits including a HR each. These guys have to produce. This offense will be scary if they can get rolling.

What can you say about Ballesteros... Kid is hitting like Tony Gwynn this season. Lasers everywhere!

If he keeps this up, due time is May 2026. LOL

His bat to ball skills are everything they were advertised to be.

Based on the ovation he received when he came to the plate the other night, I'm not sure we aren't already there. Cub fans love them some Mo Baller.

Good Lord! are the Cubs are pummeling the Phils’ pitching this series!

A team with that payroll just cannot have pitching this bad. No excuse. They just released Walker, and I’d suspect more heads to roll soon.

They just mentioned on the broadcast that Ian Happ is the longest tenured player on any major Chicago sports team. His HR today moved him into 13th place all-time on the Cubs career HR list (passing Derrek Lee and 1 behind Alfonso Soriano who is in 12th).

The schedule is going to be tough. 1st place Dodgers followed by the 1st place Padres, then the 14-11 Diamondbacks, the 1st place Reds, and the 1st place Rangers and the 1st place Braves.
Gadzooks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They should have beat up the crap teams they played first. Maybe they can beat up the good teams.
