No, it would be a miracle. Is this in the realm of possibility??
Edit: But if it happens I am ready.

Was a bad send we all agree. But we're on a lucky streak right now and it felt good to have a Suzuki right there to bail us out.I understand the argument, but Swanson basically had almost a zero percent chance to score, and I like my chances better with one out and the bases still juiced.
yupThe last 4 games encapsulate the Cubs Jekyll and Hyde offensive season.
Runs scored: 9, 23, 1, 0
And even harder when it's 1 or less.yup
weather sucked for both teams & the fans
but it’s pretty hard to win jf you score 2 or less runs
I'm more frustrated with the bullpen. I know they only scored twice, but it's one grenade after another with the choices that Counsell has. If it wasn't for Swanson, they would have coughed up a 9-3 lead yesterday. You'd love to feel comfortable with a 1 run lead in the 8th. All teams blow late leads now and then, but it's an expectation that this pen will give you multiple runs every night.20-3
7-22
18-6
Is quite a ride.
Hopefully today’s 1 for 9 with RISP was just a blip and isn’t the precursor to another plunge down the rollercoaster.
2 of 3 ??????? What kind of fan are you?I'm more frustrated with the bullpen. I know they only scored twice, but it's one grenade after another with the choices that Counsell has. Figure out a way to beat Cincy 2 of 3, get to the All Star Break and hope that the guys projected to come back after the break actually do come back.
I'm a realist that really finds it hard to believe they can get three really good pitching performances in a row(starter through closer) in a park where the ball flies.2 of 3 ??????? What kind of fan are you?
Trying to figure how your username applies
Okay, I guess, but I'm not giving up on a sweep until we lose a game.I'm a realist that really finds it hard to believe they can get three really good pitching performances in a row(starter through closer) in a park where the ball flies.
A 2-1 series would make for a 4-2 road trip and one heck of a first half, all things considered.
3-0 would be SWEET!

100% agree. That's what I had pointed out earlier. When you lose 80% of your starting rotation, the entire pen and you can still keep yourself in good playoff position....it is, like you said, miraculous. Finish off this last series in Cincy well and hope that some arms start coming back after the break. There’s literally one guy in the pen (Thielbar) who was supposed to be there at the beginning of the year. Everyone else is either hurt or been pressed into starting.
The fact that they’re middle of the pack in bullpen ERA (4.10, good for 15th on MLB) when what is essentially their AAA bullpen has been forced to pitch at least 4 innings a night is miraculous.
