Chicago Cubs 2026

The young pitcher for the Sox had something like 6 walks in the 3 games (4.2 innings) he has pitched.
That makes sense. If you put him on, the pressure is there to throw strikes and that can snowball.

I imagine that Venable was thinking get PCA(left on left), walk Seiya and set up the DP, then face Busch(left on left).

I suppose neither choice was a good one.

What a great win! This offense continues to pound away. Such a deep lineup. Lets hope Pedro can continue his magic for the next month. That Dansby injury was a buzzkill coupled with the rubber match loss to the Cards.

Since July 1 we have the leading RBI man in the game in Seiya and the leading run scoring man in PCA. Seiya slashing ,293/.385/.561 and PCA with a smooth .318/.421/.686, this has been the best combo in baseball for the last 2 1/2 months and it is not even close. So many baserunners for the cubs leading the league in walks, just wears out the league over the course of a year.

Pitching still is a worry for me, but it is deeper then before and we have to sort out the bully. Its time for Cabrera to becoming a weapon in the pen along with Brown.
