iirc, he basically hit +35 homers every year , won an MVP & made some decent money at the time

Yeah, the bullpen fell apart. That has been unfortunate. But this team has been fun to watch and stranger things have happened.

I'm with you fully.

This team is a known entity. A league MVP, potent offense, elite defense, starting pitching that *can* win games, and a bullpen that will likely give a few pacemakers their money's worth come October.

I say let it ride!
