Could Norfolk St be a spot for Chester if Jones leaves? He has way more high level experience than when Jones got the job in '14.Brads efforts not paying off unfortunately

Yes, not any inside info here. Kent Williams back at SIU does have a nice sound to it though.Quite the rumor.
Yeah, I certainly wouldn’t be merry if I were a Maryland fan. He’s awful.Wow Willard at 3.9. I bet they're thrilled with THAT investment...
Don’t be so harsh. Let’s not forget that Willard introduced the 6-man defense to college basketball…Yeah, I certainly wouldn’t be merry if I were a Maryland fan. He’s awful.
It’s not that he’s just like: John Groce-level mediocre. (Without question…I’d take Groce over Willard any day; and twice on Sunday.) I have no doubt that there’s probably at least 10-15 miscellaneous, no-name, random… NAIA, DIII, or JUCO dudes …that would actually be better in game coaches than Willard. JMO
Have you looked at the Net Rankings for MVC teams vs MAC teams? The MAC has nobody in the top 100 while the MVC has 3 or 4 teams in the top 100 in the NET. MVC has twice as many teams ranked in the top 200 in the NET compared to the MAC. The MAC is most definitely a worse conference than the MVC. The MVC has often times gotten at large bids in past years and almost did again this season. The MAC hasn't gotten an at large bid in ages. I don't think you're very aware of things to be honest. MVC is the stepping stone to the A-10. The MAC is a stepping stone to the MVCWait what?!?! MAC Is a waaaay better conference than the MVC. The next step would be like the A-10 or something like that. MVC would be a step down.

If either the team hiring or the potential coach(es) is (are) in the NCAA tourney, they have no choice but to wait. The optics would be very bad to do otherwise. They can certainly do deals on the down low, but waiting to announce until both are 'free' is the right way to do things..... There's certainly enough of a history out there on the backlash that can take place by not waiting. There are exceptions, but very few.
Not sure that is true. Toledo won the MAC and I thought they lost to multiple MVC schools. Definitely ISU.Wait what?!?! MAC Is a waaaay better conference than the MVC. The next step would be like the A-10 or something like that. MVC would be a step down.
Along with the NET rating (which I don’t always believe, but isn’t going to be that far off), when was the last time the MAC had multiple bids? As we saw last night, the Valley should have had an at large this year.Wait what?!?! MAC Is a waaaay better conference than the MVC. The next step would be like the A-10 or something like that. Brads efforts not paying off unfortunately
Thanks. It surprised me that the Pac 12 was above the Mountain West but I guess Arizona's metrics bring up the Pac 12 overall compared to the top teams in the Mountain WestYou’re correct.
On this list, the MVC is the 10th best conference with an average NET of 138, whereas the MAC is the 23rd best conference with an average NET of 232:

The only time I could remember the MAC having really good teams were those Miami(Ohio) teams with Wally Szcerbiak and those Kent St teams with Antonio Gates but I cannot remember if those were automatic bid teams or if the Miami(Ohio) team was an automatic qualifierAlong with the NET rating (which I don’t always believe, but isn’t going to be that far off), when was the last time the MAC had multiple bids? Carousel is far from overNo Boynton then?
Wait what?!?! MAC Is a waaaay better conference than the MVC. The next step would be like the A-10 or something like that. MVC would be a step down.
I believe it’s a little early in the carousel season to say thatNo Boynton then?
I think parity in Pac 12 this year has something to do with it too. Really was a down year for conference in my opinion, but overall parity allowed my last place Beavers to get 5 conference wins and the spot above them had three 8 team wins. Mountain West had two teams with only 2 conference wins and one with 4.Thanks. Ohio State removed the interim tag on Diebler. 5 year contract.Very slow market for coaches

He’d be a good one too. I feel like Brad as a lawyer would be kinda like this guy: (unedited version…foul language…all I could find.)These always make me laugh. Happy hump day!
I remember the BLOCK...willard threw....NO call from the Zebra's.Don’t be so harsh. Let’s not forget that Willard introduced the 6-man defense to college basketball…

Right, there was some parity there for sure. The bottom of the Pac 12 was stronger than the bottom of the Mountain West. I still think the 6 teams from the Mountain West stack up well against the 4 from the Pac 12 although Arizona is on another level compared to SDSU or Utah StI think parity in Pac 12 this year has something to do with it too.
