Chuck Nuggets

Dip your nuggets in my staff source sauce.
After Shaka's experience at Texas, my guess is he's just fine at Marquette. I'm sure he still has flashbacks to his time at Texas and they aren't fond. Maybe he doesn't make as much money at Marquette as he would at Kentucky, but I'm sure his level of stress and quality of life will be exponentially better staying in Milwaukee.
I'm not suggesting he should be the coach at Kentucky. I'm just rethinking my initial response to him as a candidate. There are better fits for both him and Kentucky. If they got halfway down their list and settled on Smart, I think it would work out okay.

To be fair, I do think Shaka would be fine at a minimum at UK. I just don’t think he’d ever touch the job with a 10 foot pole.

I'm putting my money on Sean Miller. Drew feels like a Bayor lifer. Donovan doesn't seem like a guy who wants to go back to college. Oats is building his own thing at Bama and has already put out a pretty definitive statement. Miller makes the most sense.
Miller seems like too nice of guy, Bruce Pearl is the perfect slime ball for them!

Well there will have to be some belt-tightening around the Calipari household. Cut those coupons. Personally, I'd love to be in a position to take a $1.5 mil cut. I'd even tolerate people yelling Sooooeeeeee Pig at me for the $7 mil.

And how did they keep it so under wraps? /s

He's getting $5 million/year in NIL he can play with. He'll be fine.

Here's a bad scenario that might happen:

Scott drew to Kentucky
Jerome tang to Baylor
Brad Underwood to Kansas state

Kansas State tried once ... Couldn't get it done ...

Facilities are not better ... NIL is not better ... Salary is not better ... They don't have Josh ...

Personally - I'd be more worried about Baylor going after Brad than K State ...

I have heard Drew wants to take the job ... He already used the Louisville job to get more NIL and get his staff raises ...

The family (especially his wife) definitely would prefer he stay at Baylor ... They do not want to move ...
But what everyone really wants to know is…
What is the Drew family’s appliance situation?

Not that Lexington is a bustling metropolis, but I'd do anything to get out of Waco. I can't stand that place.

Probably because I firmly believe shiplap doesn't belong on every wall.

Which makes Fighter Of The Nightman's campaign to catch up to Purdue all the more interesting. From his signature:

All-Time B1G Basketball Winning Percentages ... #CatchPurdue (Updated 2023!)
Purdue: .644
ILLINOIS: .640
Indiana: .633
Michigan State: .612
Sports reference has them at .647 & us at .642 in conference

So I think that puts us at 40 games behind in the win column?

I refuse to believe Brad would leave for Baylor or K State
