Is there anyone that could get a screen grab of that interaction?

You must not see me post once a week telling people Tyler isn't going to be fired or demoted. But Why should he? We are 8th in PPG, top 20 in offensive efficiency and that's with career shooting lows from our guys. Offense was pretty good last year too. It's Tyler, Geoff and Brad collectively doing the heavy lifting on offense....Not just Tyler. Also Tyler is pretty cheap in terms of assistants and Brad isn't going to fire or demote his son and come home to Susan and deal with that lol
Maybe Tyler should listen to Meyers Leonard’s recently posted song?

I appreciated the fun, come back Jules.

To a small handful, unless Brad makes the 3rd weekend of the tournament this year, it will be evidence that he will never be able to win here and that his seat should be warm.
I’ve been gone… awhile… but did we or did we not make the Elite Eight last year after a generation?

Do we all want a Final 4, uh, yeah? But to be forgotten so quickly, that seems a bit rushed.

You can’t satisfy everyone, and our most delusional fans will never be satisfied, clearly.

Being a random internet human, I’m not gonna forgot last season overall for a long time, and I hope to make some more memories with this team to close out March.

For anyone that thinks Tyler is just a nepo hire, I highly encourage you to listen to his radio interviews. He’s done a couple. Here’s one where he discusses putting together a potent offense in the off-season with a brand new team:

Tyler knows ball.

Jeez man enough already, the guy literally led us to the Elite 8 last year. Our first one in 20 years at that.

There's not a single coach in the country that "consistently leads teams deep in the tourney". It's a single elimnation tounrment that by design is extremely high variance and unpredictable Bill Self has made the S16 once in the last six seasons (championship year). First 10 years of Matt Painter's career Purdue made the S16 only twice. Scott Drew has made it to the second weekend once in the last 7 years (championship year). Bruce Pearl has made the second weekend once his entire tenure at Auburn. Rick Barnes has made it to the S16 three times in 9
You do realize you are in the coaching carousel thread right?

Let's set our sights on getting past the first weekend rather than expecting a deep run. BU has only advanced past the first weekend once in his entire career—thanks in large part to one of the greatest seasons we've seen from an Illinois player. You mentioned two coaches with national championships and one with a championship runner-up (who isn't even among the top 10 highest paid). Both Bruce Pearl and Rick Barnes have had far more success over their careers, even if they come with their own reputations (Pearl being the biggest scum bag in coaching)

Let's let this year play out. If BU flops over the first weekend again, that Sweet 16 appearance will seem like a one-off. I'm not rooting for him to lose just to prove a point, I want these guys to win. I just have my doubts about whether he's the coach to take us where we should be. From what I understand, JW isn't content with just winning the regular season.

The existence of a Coaching Carousel thread does not require you to make arguments for why we should fire a highly successful coach. We also have a Conference Realignment thread, and yet nobody seems compelled to make the argument we should leave the Big Ten and join the MAC, just because a thread exists on that general topic.

To be fair, prior to last season's 10-win football season, there were a select few arguing that we should leave the B1G so that we had a better shot at winning in football.

Again, winning cures a lot of the crazy talk.

Elite 8. I believe the rest is accurate, but that was a good win against a well regarded Iowa St. team.

1. 8th in the country in PPG, 26th in scoring margin, top 20 in Offensive efficiency. Been that way for awhile just because the X and O's are different than what a lot of fans are accustomed to and the adjustments off that are different and slight doesn't mean they aren't good/aren't happening.
2.What 7 or 8 coaches are going to be available that would strengthen the basketball program?
3. Do you understand how challenging it is to be a final 4 contender every year? Kansas hasn't been since 2022, MSU 2019 Arizona 2001, Kentucky 2015.
Point number 1, who cares we're in 7th place in the conference, the x and o's and adjustments aren't different they're not good enough for the time effort and money being invested in the program.
Point number 2 we've had several people rattling off names for the last three weeks if we tried we could probably rattle off more than 8 you read and post on here more than I do you already know the names being rattled off.
Point number 3 I said contend not get there.
I always appreciate reading your post I'm sure you know more than I do but at least in this instance we disagree.
