Brad has been somewhat active … Tells me it’ll be at least one new assistant …

Vibe I’m getting is that Leggings boy is going to be back …

If that's the case maybe it's time for Brad to move on. Have always been in his camp but his continued stubbornness in coaching and recruiting decisions are holding us back from the heights we hope to achieve. He was great for getting us to were we are at but he needs to start showing that he can lead us to the promised land. I hope he makes me eat my words, I really do.

IMO - another year of not meeting expectations and the whole staff can pack their bags …
I think as we've missed the first round of transfers and people are saying don't worry it worked out last year, some forget we finished 7th in conference last year. We lost 4 home games and didn't make the 2nd round of the tourney.

I don't think there is any measure that we can call this past season a success, except maybe for talent given we will likely have 2 guys drafted. But to me, that makes it even worse. We had a talented roster and didn't perform. I'm shocked Underwood isn't saying I need to upgrade my staff to keep my job. He must feel pretty comfortable.

Can we do this before Golden gets locked into a monster contract this offseason??

There is no demoting him internally and quietly, he either is a non-recruiting assistant coach or he isn't.

I would rather Whitman be proactive and not reactive if this turns out to be the fate of Brad’s tenure

And people wonder why we miss on lots of portal rargets

100% agree. In my opinion it didn’t work out last year, plus we are now rebuilding again. That makes it worse.

What are the expectations? I was expecting a full roster given commentary from Monday. Denzel was making a ton of visits in this very board.

I will say this and this is partially to defend Brad and to partially bring reality back to the minds of our angry villagers.

There was a lot of hot takes that Brad was a top 10 paid head coach and we had top 10 NIL money. Neither are true with the latter not being remotely true. It's how we ended up with the youngest roster in college basketball, with our top 3 players being young, international kids(Riley, Tomi and KJ). The fact that Brad glued that together last year and had us within a half of the Sweet 16.....not bad.

We get outspent, plain and simple. The expectations start with who's on our roster and our booms were false alarms. So, here we are again, losing the players on last year's roster, missing on our transfer targets and leaning into the Euro market.

As we sit here on Final Four Saturday.....what's the expectation?

The expectations are simple … Competing for Big Ten and National Championships … Year in and year out …

You’re also wrong about Brad not being a top 10 paid coach … He is … $4,800,000 plus the $335,000 in bonuses we paid out to him puts him right at $5,135,000 and right inside the top 10 … I believe Oats Elite 8 bonus might put him up $5,000 above Brad and Brad would be #11 … My point stands … There are not many guys getting paid more than Brad to get the job done …

There is no excuse for only making the second weekend 1 time in 9 years if they fail to make it next year … Especially with the amount of talent that’s come through the door and the resources at our staffs disposal …

Brad can double down on this 🐂 💩 defensive scheme and Hamer if he wants to but he better be prepared for the consequences … We’ve seen for two years that it doesn’t work and players have to make suggestions of changes for something to even change …

If you go into this year and “run it back” with this staff … It better f’ing work …
