Too late, of course, for any players to transfer even if someone had roster room for them.
It's all about the student-athletes, though.
Are you saying Illinois is interestedCoaching change opens a 30 day transfer window for every player on the roster …
The one I’ve heard to really watch for is Pettiford …
It's cute that you think scandals end political careers these daysCan't wait for the scandal that ends his political career.

Just a tongue in cheek shot at Satan, obviously. Not interested in engaging in any kind of real political discourse beyond that. Talking about Illinois sports gets contentious enough lol. It's cute that you think scandals end political careers these days
The problem would be getting them enrolled to play in November and December unless the school is operating in trimesters or quarters. No it's not. The players now have a 30-day open window to transfer.
Now, most people have their rosters filled already, but they could theoretically go somewhere else.
I understand.. I'm just saying they could transfer. Could you go ahead and win the lottery then? The problem would be getting them enrolled to play in November and December unless the school is operating in trimesters or quarters.
That being said if I had won that Powerball I would currently be offering huge NIL deals to Keyshawn Hall, Freeman, and Pettiford because it would be hilarious to ruin his kids first season(I think Hall would actually be a very good fit at the 3/4 potentially Freeman as well).
Probably not…but will almost guarantee you will see his mug on some network doing play by play or pre-post game analysis…Scumbags gonna scumbag! So glad I won't have to ever watch his POS @$$ stumbling around courtside and chasing the refs to whine about a call every possession anymore!
Alabama gonna have 2 former coaches as their senators?Pearl's probably going to show his ugly mug on TV a lot but not in a broadcasting career.
For sure. Pearl is a dirtbag. But the other 3 lost a bit of luster in my books when they ditched their players the week before practice and then used their fame/platform to complain about the portal & NIL.Those last 3 guys are are all good people......Bruce not a good person.
Tuberville is going to be Governor. Pearl has expressed interest in taking his Senate seat when that happens.Alabama gonna have 2 former coaches as their senators?
Boheim, Ryan, all too common.Pearl, Bennett, Wright, Larranaga.
All bums who abandoned their schools last minute and will have TV broadcasting careers lambasting college kids for not "upholding their commitments".
Please, Sweet Baby Jesus, let this come to fruition. In your holy name I pray, Amen.Something that just occurred to me. What if Steven Pearl is just absolutely awful at the job. Just completely implodes the program. But at the same time Bruce Pearl's political ambitions come to fruition. Would Auburn actually be able to fire Steven Pearl in that scenario, even if they really really want to? They're a public university in Alabama, whose junior Senator would be the coach's dad, and whose Governor would be the coach's dad's friend. It would be absolutely hilarious if Steven Pearl drove Auburn basketball into the ground and Auburn was stuck with him for the next decade.
They got 2 Final 4's out of it. I think they've been fairly compensatedAuburn made their Faustian bargain. Payment is due.
