Odds at Kalshi were ahead of the curve after all (they dropped at Kalshi around June 5-6, while traditional books are just now dropping them, though not as much)

Edit: wonder whether it was Mavs insiders or UM insiders betting against them?

🤷‍♂️Dunno, but usually someone misses out on the transfer portal game of musical chairs and has money available for a situation like this. Really hard to predict how guys take the news, who gets hired, who wants to poach and how much they have, etc.. My wild-a** guess is that someone on the roster signed for less than they can get today and will take advantage of it.

One could assume they're going to save quite a bit of money hiring Mike this year vs. paying Dusty and they can now use that to possibly throw some more money at the roster to keep guys around?
