Big week coming up.Welcome to the Coaching Carousel thread.
indeedBig week coming up.
Me, too, especially since according to Wikipedia (I know, not the best source) “Partridge returned to Michigan's football staff for the 2023 season, but was fired on November 17, 2023.[10] Partridge had allegedly participated in the destruction of evidence regarding the University of Michigan football sign-stealing scandal.[11] Partridge was later cleared of wrongdoing once the investigation concluded… On November 17, 2023, Wolverines linebackers coach Chris Partridge was fired for allegedly instructing current members of the football team how to respond to questions relating to the sign-stealing scheme.[34] Partridge later released a statement on Twitter saying that his termination was due to a failure “to abide by the University directive not to discuss an ongoing NCAA investigation with anyone associated with the Michigan Football Program.”[35]So sounds like Partridge is the guy. Interested to hear the pluses/minuses on this one.

I am completely lost by this whole thing. This whole off-season has been very weird.Hmmmm, the insiders were saying Seattle. Who else on that staff makes sense? No names are sticking out.

We should go all in for Karl Scott if he wants to be a DC.Partridge backed out. He was the front runner. Back to the drawing board
He was the very first name I mentioned... I would be all about itWe should go all in for Karl Scott if he wants to be a DC.
"The Seahawks quietly became one of the NFL's best defensive units in 2025. Here's where Seattle ranked in several key categories:
"Scott's secondary has been a big part of Seattle's success. He's overseen the development of numerous young players, such as Devon Witherspoon, Tariq Woolen, Josh Jobe, Coby Bryant, Ty Okada and rookie Nick Emmanwori."

If we are hiring someone from Seattle's staff, this is who I would want. I think he will have his share of NFL opportunities if he wants to go that route though. He was the very first name I mentioned... I would be all about it

That blows - Karl Scott would be great, but he's getting a lot of NFL interest, even if he doesn't land a D.C. job this cycle, coaching in the NFL's best defense and waiting until next year for a D.C. role would seem to be a much better path for them than trying to turn around our Defense, but maybe Brett can convince himPartridge backed out.
