Tony Petersen retires at Illinois State.....then
Gets hired at NIU.

Must be a trend and a contract loophole that many are probably trying to re-write.

Definitely odd. I wonder if teams start forcing coaches to sign something different when they retire than the current release.

pretty sure you are joking

it more likely that full retirement wasn’t all that great & his wife told him to get out & do something to better pass the time . Once he was coaching again he realized he missed it and when the spot opened up , bingo

He was still on the staff even after he retired. LA has a lot of talent coming up in the program. The game with Mt Carmel should be a good one.
