That sounds like a personal injury firm in Bloomington adjacent to the Night Moves club that someone noted would be a perfect fit for Pitino.Give me $100 on Fife, Musselman and Stevens.

Was Kansas the only college stop Brown had (besides SMU) where he left without scandal on his heels? He took UCLA to the title game in '81(?) v. L'ville but I believe that was subsequently vacated, or at the very least he left quickly with the NCAA coming in the door there.
Marcus Smart and Kemba Walker are both healthy at the same time for the first time this season this last week. That’s their starting backcourt.
lol. He was apparently a very successful slow learner. I always thought he was a perfect fit in the freewheeling mid-'70s ABA. I recall as a kid seeing an article in SI about him coaching the Denver Nuggets, sitting on the bench in overalls (similar to photo below) chewing on a piece of hay.Kansas was hit with three years of probation on his way out the door 1988.
Larry Brown...Larry Brown.?......Is that the guy with the wild hair from "Back To The Future?lol. He was apparently a very successful slow learner. "The best way to get run out of town is to make it look like you're leading the parade."Right. The last time Pitino or Brown left voluntarily from pro to college was Pitino leaving the Knicks for Kentucky in 1989. This was just before Michael Jordan completely changed the perception of the NBA and the relative prestige and coaching salaries between the two levels of play.
Since then, Pitino leaving Boston for Louisville and Brown leaving Charlotte for SMU were both “one step ahead of the posse” moments with each leaving midway through the NBA season with records significantly below .500.
Whenever Stevens leaves Boston, he’ll have his pick of college gigs. He’s under no pressure to leave now
Arkansas always gets my vote of southern states to slam. I blame Arkansas for everything crappy about Missouri.Mississippi has fantastic BBQ and gave the world the gift of blues. I prefer to slam Alabama.

Then you heard about the University of Missouri basketball player who moved to Arkansas, thereby raising the average IQ of both states?Arkansas always gets my vote of southern states to slam. I blame Arkansas for everything crappy about Missouri.
I once spent a Saturday night in 2003 on campus in Fayetteville at an inn just off their quad the UofA hotel school operated. It was an old Victorian building called (I'm not making this up) Carnall Hall. The best name for a campus hotel imaginable. It was a memorable evening. Arkansas was playing at Kentucky in football, the game went seven overtimes, and Arkansas won. I spent five hours in the bar drinking and watching the game on TV with nostalgic alums in town for a visit. Then you heard about the University of Missouri basketball player who moved to Arkansas, thereby raising the average IQ of both states?
Actually, one of my best buddies is from Arkansas. An aeronautical engineer. Funny, sharp, intelligent, now lives in Florida.I once spent a Saturday night in 2003 on campus in Fayetteville at an inn just off their quad the UofA hotel school operated. So I've got a sweet spot for Arkansas. The NW corner, at least!
On the one hand it's good that it's him and not OA. On the other hand Chin's job will get a lot harder recruting Chicago, right? Which once again makes it a very good thing this Illini staff doesn't just rely on recruiting Illinois.I just read the CatsPaws board and they said that Kenny Payne was interviewing for the Depaul job. They are pretty reliable.
The fact that they have Stevens as a bigger long shot than Mark Few makes the IU boards’ confidence in getting Stevens that much more hilarious.
Years ago, Indiana made a run at Mark Few for their coach. Discussions didn't get anywhere. Can't imagine that he would even consider moving to Bloomington now.The fact that they have Stevens as a bigger long shot than Mark Few makes the IU boards’ confidence in getting Stevens that much more hilarious.
I was honestly being tongue-in-cheek. I have friends in Alabama. Can't let folks stomp all over them.Mississippi has fantastic BBQ and gave the world the gift of blues. I prefer to slam Alabama.
my son who went to Ole Miss had it narrowed down to 4 schools : Ole Miss which we had seen when he was a high school soph, and then Kansas, Oklahoma & Arkansas. His junior year high school spring break, me, wifey, him and my youngest boy did the three school trip from Chicago : to KU, down to OU, and then Ark. We stayed at the Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence (nice old place that has been totally redone, then to Norman (had to settle for a Park Hyatt or similar (was fine) and then to Fayetteville to see UA and we stayed at the Carnall. Nice place. Right on Campus. Short walk to town. Nice campus townI once spent a Saturday night in 2003 on campus in Fayetteville at an inn just off their quad the UofA hotel school operated. Listening to Dakisch and Packer on way home, he threw some major shade at Scott Drew when discussing the IU coaching position. He made allegations that some very inappropriate stuff was going on there but decided to stop after saying there was slanders and slurs. He said other things are happening and have happened but said he wouldn't go any further. Now I wanna know what is going on at Baylor?
I like Chin but can't see how he would be ahead of Kenny Payne especially given the DePaul's AD background with Payne.Any chance that Depaul takes a run for Chin Coleman? Have to think that his ties to Chicago are desirable for DePaul. The longer that job stays open, makes me think they want to wait to talk with Chin until after Illinois losses in the tournament. Any thoughts?
