Could be. Working for a coach that's been accused of 5 Level 1 NCAA violations could make one feel a little insecure.

With full respect to ubermensch, Texas has built a hell of a basketball staff. It really pains me to say that as somebody who hates UT, but dang. Easily the best staff since I’ve lived here. At the least, they have given the appearance they might care about basketball a little bit.

There is a ton of talent in the Houston and Dallas area, equivalent to Chicago, but there’s 2 of them. Enough kids to supply Baylor and Texas. With 3 ace recruiters, I imagine Texas will get their fair share now (not just the single five star plus nobodies).

My hypothesis has been that the problem at UT has been cultural. I feel like it’s already been confirmed, but if this staff fails, it will really show it.

Timing seems weird... The NCAA allegations broke 2 seasons ago. Why stick with him this long to fire him over it now?

i'm guessing Arizona would say that the official notice of allegations was only received recently. But yea, not like it wasn't expected forever ago and should've pulled the trigger then. But at least they didn't put all their morale principles on hiatus like Kansas did.

I thought this meant "Adam Miller is out visiting in Arizona"...

Maybe the fact that their women's team came within a bucket of winning a National Championship in Barnes' 5th season had the administration looking at Miller's performance through a different lense.

I wonder if they didn’t wait until one-year self-imposed post season ban was finished. Looks more like a penalty if coach being punished is still there maybe, and allows new coach to start with at least that not hanging over head.
