Sucks but a good sign about the direction of our program....now a chance to find a rock star replacement

Good lord. Stalker alert.

OA is excellent and it will suck to lose him. However, Chin and Gentry are outstanding, and there are tons of great recruiting assistants out there.

We'll be fine.

JW's To Do List:

Pay Chin Coleman.

Call Roger Powell.

Get the D1 hockey program finished.

Take Dee off of Double Secret Probation

I'm not worried about replacing his recruiting ability. I'm worried about losing his big-man development skills and the impact that could have on Kofi's decision to return or not.

EDIT: And the possibility of him bringing current players with him. And the possibility of Underwood getting jaded and being more willing to listen to offers in the future.

Sounds like we need to increase the assistant coaches salary pool, whether they stay or leave.
I get what you're saying, but we're probably paying our three assistant coaches somewhere in the ballpark of $1.1-1.2m combined. Can't see a world in which the UI BoT approves a doubling or tripling of that budget. At a $1m base salary, OA would already be making more than a lot of D-I head coaches. The unfortunate truth is that we can't outbid UK. We just need to be careful to not allow ourselves to be outbid by many others.

Do we entertain the idea of bringing in Bergeron if it means landing Mitchell. We seemingly will have the room...
