The rumor has been Kimani. But Kimani is an associate head coach? How are we getting interest form other AC at P5 programs that are already associate HCs? isn't CF an associate HC at VT too? Only so many titles to throw around?
Money money money money ... MONEY!!!! Plus, great ACs can land head-coaching gigs w/o such a title.

One of them will be assistant to the Associate head coach.

IU had Co-Associate HC's last season (Tom Ostrom being one of them)

Also, if Kofi does come back (please, let it be best for you, so you can move up the draft board like Ayo), we are looking at a top 5ish team all season, with a National Player of the Year candidate and possible B1G championship (reg season/tourney). That would be a fun team to be around. Not to mention, the hunger to correct the error of the NCAA tourney, from this year.

I know nothing of Chet's coaching career, but I sure loved him as a player for us.
If he coaches with the same intensity that he played, that would be nice to watch, too, especially on defense.
Chet was the Feliz of D and not as good offensively. While both are elite rebounders and Feliz was a good defender, Chester was all world. Offensively is where Feliz has Chet beat, but even then, Chet was a very good passer and by senior year, was a solid shooter.

Names mentioned as viable candidates in Sturdy's "Sturdy for 30" podcast:

Chester Frazier -- Met with Underwood in Chicago.
Roger Powell -- Brad says he got a phone call from Underwood--no idea if they've met.
Mike Mennenga -- He's been contacted apparently. No real info otherwise.
Will Bailey (S. Carolina) -- A Chicago native, was at SLU prior to USC. Played at Parkland College, too.
Tony Bergeron
Van Macon (St. John's)
-- Was also at SLU and landed Jordan Goodwin, Hasahn French, and he helped land Javon Bess and Carte-Are Gordon.
Geoff Alexander -- Sturdy says he's well respected in the hoops world. Alexander helped develop Kofi's skills, according to Sturdy.

They also mentioned that Jamal Walker could be a possibility to come back (?). Why?!? They seem to think he could bring a big-time recruit with him (Sturdy calls it a 50/50 shot), but I didn't catch who that would be.

They also said Daniyal Robinson could be in consideration, but it sounded like they were just throwing out his name.

Okay, one last thing: Sturdy's odds (top 4) on landing AC gigs here:

1. Frazier -- He's confident on this one.
2. Mennenga -- Less confident here.
3. Macon (St. John's) -- Hesitated a bit then included Macon. Hmm.
4. Alexander -- Says there's a "lot of positive buzz" on him. Not sure on this one, myself.

Maine to Miami covers a lot of territory. Care to share any more info? Maybe what conference this coach is in now? What colors they wear, etc.?
It has to be Tony Bennett. That would be a fairly okay get for assistant. Maybe he could even be our Assoc. Head Coach.😉

Bergeron would make me hurl in my mouth a bit, but if he comes and leaves with Mitchell, I guess it would make sense given this unprecedented three-openings situation.
