No, honestly that's when I'm at my best, which may not be saying much.

Settling for the assistant NBA bs would be a major failure. Hope BU has many other alternatives lined up before that has to happen.

I talked to a guy who I just met and he told me that we will have a Hall of Fame 3rd assistant. Apparently he is bored with his multi-million a year gig and wants to come back to the little people. I'm not going to say who it is because I don't want to start rumors but I'd thought I'd share.

I am thinking that there is something to the speculation that we might be looking at a person in the NBA. Underwood is a pretty savvy guy and generally has made the right decisions. I know it's two different scenarios, but the whole hiring a guy who's been a pro makes me a little apprehensive. That's mostly thanks to Lovie's NFL staff approach when he first came on. My biggest hang up is from the fan perspective that this third guy is supposed to be the stud recruiter. Not saying an NBA guy can't recruit, but I think there is something to a guy who has a track record of doing it already. And yes Juwan Howard says hello.

Eric Musselman also says hi.

Please say you’re kidding. Hard to tell on a message board sometimes.
Well, that was what everyone said, anyway. It was actually just a contested layup at the end of a close ILLINI win at home versus LSU. But, for years the "legend" was that sub 6'0" Rennie dunked on huge Shaq.

It might be pretty cool to hear, “Yeah, I coached KD, Kyrie, and Harden, and you can be just as good as them,” or “Sure, I can get you KD’s number,” as a recruit.

Beyond that, if you are recruiting young men who aspire to make the league, I think it is pretty powerful to be able to say that you have worked at that level. That you understand how those guys prepare, and you will ensure they are doing what it takes to make it there & stay there.

Rennie died in 1993.
I think that was his dad. Lish "Rennie" Johnson. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/67792429/lish-r-johnson

Rennie Clemons has a son:

This is 2021. NOBODY but a few people on here care if Ren dunked on Shaq or Shaq dunked on Ren. Lets move on. Open period is just around the corner and we are yet to name our final AC! Our Carousel is not only not moving...it's jumped off it's track! I want names....and NOT Rodman/Tim Tebow/My Pillow Guy/Mr. Bean or The Iron Sheik!
