Drag Queen Love GIF by Teletubbies
POTD. A GIF is worth a thousand words.

The fact that I know that's Tinky-Winky without consulting the Web (and I can still remember the names of the other three, and sing the theme song), though my daughter watched that program for only ~ nine months 15 years ago, gives me pause. I should either take great relief that my kinda-short-term middle-aged memory is better than I thought, or I should be frightened that it retains such trivia.

Or both.

I always suspected that the Brits who developed that program indulged in copious amounts of hallucinogens.

I share these personal musings off-topic only because of the dearth of AC news today.

EDIT: Am off to start a Wonder Pets Loyalty thread if anyone's interested since we're now delving into bizarre children's programs.

Real question. Do MCBB assistant contracts typically have the same term? Do they typically end at end of the school year or is it random? I don’t really think this is the case but I’m wondering if we could have the 3rd assistant but are waiting until their contract ends or a contractual term passes in order to have to pay a buyout. Seriously doubt AC buyouts are that large and with the money being thrown around that it would hold us back, but it made me wonder about the contracts.

Which is why you don't rush it. You make a bad hire or settle for #11 on your list and you're stuck with them.

I guarantee you that Brad cares more about the future of his program (which is literally HIS future) than the whims and desires of a bunch of message board posters. He wants the right guy and he understands the risks, and I'm quite certain that JW does as well.
Exactly... And there is Whitman... has said little on the AC but knows there are $$$$$ on the table for the right AC mix. Patience Illini fans... Let us get this one right.

So, any guesses from our insiders as to when we might hear something? Definitely a pro guy?

Also, shout out to a fellow MacArthur General. Class of 77 here.

Underwood calls every player elite, every option mind-blowing, etc. He's know to be a fan of hyperbole. Basically all fans that are dedicated enough to have watched any of those press conferences also know about his hyperbole.
I concur....Underwood handles the media masterfully, is a competent solid coach(except for getting hilariously outcoached by a dude that was fired from ISU that one time)...AND is a very good salesman who tends to use hyperbole quite a lot. (He’s had at least two dream jobs that we know of.)

I DO find the hyperbole a bit distracting at times.
It’s hard not to like the guy overall though...but sometimes you
just want your whiskey straight up.

Your theory makes as much sense as the one that he is hiring an assistant from the NBA.

Hard to imagine this is news-worthy unless there is a legitimate possibility of it happening…
Well, unless he is going to spend all of his time on the official/unofficial visits, what else is he going to post about?
