You stated on the previous thread that it'll be announced in the next two days. That seems like odd timing considering the 4th of July weekend. You'd think they'd wait till next week at this point, but I guess we'll see if you're correct.

Good point on the timing. My source could have assumed the time because it is a done deal. And to oblige illini80 I will just say a lot of posters are correct in their speculations so carry on with the GifOlympics!

Timing of news release could be for at least two reasons. Near a distractive element ie possible unpopular choice or some shady characteristics. Waiting for clearer news cycle to get most bang for the buck.
