It would be interesting if Lane left. I dont see why you leave Ole Miss. they seem to have a reasonable fan base compared to Auburn. Some nice traditions and the perks of being in the SEC. Nothing would surprise me but I wouldn’t leave

Ed McCaffrey is out at Northern Colorado.

Hadn't realized how poorly that whole thing went and how much Dylan McCaffrey didn't dominate after transferring from Michigan. Found this quote, um, interesting:

In another bizarre incident, offensive coordinator Max McCaffrey -- Ed's son who was hired without any previous coaching experience -- was reprimanded after throwing a broken clipboard into the stands and hitting a fan during a game against Montana State. An MSU fan told the Denver Post that he heckled McCaffrey about his pants size after the coach broke a clipboard following an interception.

I'm glad someone else found Max's clothing issue as amusing as I did. Will happily award a like to anyone who can post a picture of the offending pants.

Minnesota boards overwhelming supportive of Fleck with the theme being mostly ‘this is as good as it gets for Minnesota’ and who would we get who’s better. A few crazies saying to fire him. Interesting. He needs to beat Wisconsin to calm the waters or it may be tough rowing next season

they actually had a great coach in Jerry Kill and then again another with Tracy Claeys. they werent "good looking" enough so they went with Fleck.

its a decision they will regret

I just moved to Minnesota in 2020 and started playing golf in a league with quite a few current and former university employees/profs. They virtually all couldn't care less about any sports that aren't hockey.

Claeys was not great and was exposed as someone better suited as an assistant. In your defense, I unfortunately know too much about him and what when on behind the scenes.

that article is from more than a month ago. This is more recent news, and I say “Go for it Prime Time!”
