As an ASU (grad school) alum, can't say I'm over the moon about the hire. I think it's risky but upside could be high. Feels like ASU is a turnstile for coaches just like Illinois has been (hopefully WAS) for the longest time.

If Walters bolts (soon anyway), it wouldn't be surprising if Bret tries to lure in Leonhard. FWLIW, I don't think Walters will leave for a DC job.
I read that Colorado offered Coach Prime Time.
Expect his name to be brought up for Cincinnati …
Although I think they’ll ultimately head in a different direction …
Would have to think both Walters and Leonhard would be interviewed for the Cincy job
Jesse Minter, Tom Herman will be top options I would think.

Locksley just got extended today- not sure if there was a change in salary.
Wow! Very surprising. I had not realized salaries had escalated this much with the exception of Tucker. Allen at nearly $5Mil????? My lord. BB hopefully gets a bump after exceeding expectations this year.
Salaries are crazy. Assistant salaries have been shooting up, too. One winning season and every school is afraid to lose their coach, so they double the salary and lock them up. Then, frequently, buy them out.
In that mode, I would expect BB to get to $6.5 or $7 after this season.
That nice 7 billion dollar TV contract starts July 1st for the B10. Will be plenty of chedda to go around!
Anyone know whether the Wisconsin move was about disappointment in Leonhard or that they just saw Fickell was interested and wanted him more?
Luke Fickell will be at Wiscy, he has been successful everywhere. Don't believe they lose to many commits, if any. Good pick-up for Badgers, some coaches don't transition well to the more competitive conferences (Scott Frost) but I don't believe that will be the case here. Fickell was at Osu forever and knows the BIG.

They just lost Terek (to ND).
I think if they went 5-2 it would have been harder. But I think they found out Fickell was interested and still weren’t sold on Leonhard and jumped on the opportunity to get Fickell
Tbf that was rumored to be in the works before the move to bring in Fickell.
