Brilles: $1.2 mil
Lunney: $0.8 mill

Ball is in your court
You are really misinterpreting my original message

1. My entire post was more pure spitballing than anything else, not anywhere close to insider info.
2.. It is Briles to TCU, it could be Lunney to his alma mater Arkansas to replace Briles.
3. I don't think Lunney is leaving nor I cannot confirm he would even be a candidate for Arkansas, but I would not count it out.
4. The timing would suck if Lunney leaves, but I know BB would get a good replacement
5. Most importantly, Briles to TCU is the bigger story in all of CFB here, Briles as in Kendall son of Art Briles. Oh yeah, TCU fans are not only hating hiring a ex-coach of a bitter rival, but one with major baggage. criminal baggage, covering up sexual assault baggage.

Some of you are crazy if you don’t think that Arkansas is a serious threat to poach him.

1) He played there
2) He coached in Arkansas for 15 years
3) He coached with Pittman for 3 years
4) He has two kids and wife, and I guarantee that will be an influence in wanting to move back “home.”

I would trust Bret to make a good hire if Lunney did leave, but that would easily be the biggest loss of the offseason. We can’t keep changing OCs and expect to keep this thing going like it has. The guy clearly has a knack for coaching up QBs, even if his play calling was suspect at times.

On the Hate-O-Meter, TCU hiring Kendal Briles would be up there with us hiring Ferentz the Younger.

Q for you (or anyone else).

Is Lunney "IRREPLACEABLE"?

After all, that is what a "Rolodex" is - no one is irreplaceable.

Absolutely no one.

So, if anyone is concerned about Lunney leaving, then we do have a huge problem. What you guys are saying is that Coach B will either not find a replacement or for some years at least.

The point being, the person I would be extremely concerned about is Coach B. (Of course the major concern is Josh. But then is anyone irreplaceable?)
Just because someone isn’t irreplaceable doesn’t mean you can’t be worried about him or her leaving. And yes, BB has a Rolodex, but he also had it when he hired his first OC. Not all hires work out. Not all sections in your Rolodex are created equal. And not all people in your Rolodex will be interested in the opening you have or in the position to take it.

As someone pointed out 3 OCs in 3 years would not be great. It could be overcome, but doesn’t mean we should have any desire to prove that.

Seems that BLJ should get us rolling on O first (timing unknown, but we are all looking for that side to play faster in year II in his system and improve greatly) and then look to replace Pitman as their HC when that time comes.

Confession Time:

In the spirit of full transparency, I fill the need to come clean. I simply saw a gif that fit my dry…barely even there punch-line and sense of humor.

It was quite tempting to play that off like I was down with/familiar with Father Amorth…but alas I WAS not. I am just not that cool.

But I did a little “internet research” and learned who he was now. So that’s a win; and it seemed to make you happy…so there’s that. Lol
In my attempt to further this humorous bit, I was disappointed to learn there are no Father Mulcahy GIFs readily available. On the flip side, though, I was pleased to find out there are no Paul Mulcahy GIFs, either.

ESPN reporting that despite NFL interest, Harbaugh will indeed return to Michigan next season.

That screams transferring or looking at things you probably shouldn't....

1. Police involved.
2. Computers involved.

EDIT: I don't think altering grades or anything like that would involve the police.

Could he have been logging into another school’s system to look at/steal plays? That was the first thing that came to mind. I guess one of the neighbors said several unmarked police cars stopped at his house and performed a search. Unmarked cars made me think FBI.
