I'm not sure Kentucky is actually going to open. I think some of their fans really wanted Cal to willingly bolt for Texas due to the huge buyout he has and the natives being restless. However, with Terry getting the Texas job, I think Cal stays due to:
1) He still has the huge buyout
2) He has the #1 recruiting class coming in.
As for Kansas, it's unclear if Bill Self's recent health issues would make him seriously consider retirement or not. So that opening may not be a thing either.

I am glad he’s back too. I’d like to believe he’ll have a little luck on his side one of these years and crack the code of March eventually.

Underwood isn't going anywhere this year. He has some success next year and a bunch of high-profile jobs open up, I wouldn't be shocked if he's gone. Texas will give Terry a very buyout friendly short-term deal.

I am glad BU is staying !!!!
Being a 50 year Illini fan, recent memory of trying to get relevant again were agonizing seasons to watch. If watching this years March Madness has taught us anything, it is not all about the NIL and recruiting stars. It is about the fire in the kids hearts, and that is the culture BU has grown over the past couple year. The NIL quick fix options are often "fools gold".
