Judges finding them in contempt and lawsuits from the teams in question. Is there anything that keeps the ncaa from saying if you have a guy whose playing year 5 you just won’t be selected to the tournament?
NCAA made that legal.

What's the point if you don't let it be known that's why you did it? It's not a punishment or deterrent if the school thinks it's just because their NET was too low.Could at a large team technically do that whenever the NCAA doesn’t select a team?
Just don’t advertise you’re doing it because they have a 5th year.
What are you talking about? You said not to select any team for the tourney that is playing a 5th year player. I said that the NCAA allows that now. They do.Not this group.
If this group was allowed by the ncaa, they wouldn’t have gone to court.
Translation: I already filled MY roster! It’s not fair!!!

And anything that looks remotely related to the 5th year is going to see the school go to the courts immediately to get a stay for tournament access or to recover the $s lost if it comes out later. Lose/lose for the NCAA.

If you a talking about a group that the NCAA has excluded, you should have said that.
I'm guessing that if the NCAA said that some 5th year guys can play, but not others, they will rightfully lose in court again.
The appearance of impropriety would be enough to get sued and it only takes one friendly federal judge.Because everyone would know exactly why you did it - i don't think there would be much confusion there. You just didn't write it out or say it to open you up more legally.
It looks the NCAA has written guidelines on criteria, so I know this isn't gonna happen. A stay for tournament access would seem wild lol - but it is wild times i guess.
