The ACL injury recovery journey is drastically different from the one I took in the early ‘80’s. I suffered a partial tear of my L ACL in April of 1982, and tore it completely in June that same year. After an 18 month rehab (yes, I took advantage of the rehab Center), I went from a 38” vertical to a 22” vertical. Today, rehab is less than a year, and the athlete’s recovery is closer to 90-100% than the roughly 60% I enjoyed. Items a serious athletic injury.
You lost 16 inches on your vertical!?! So my 19" high school vertical would have gone to 3"? Take comfort in knowing your worst was better than my best :)

That is impressive Dr. Bowman. I cant believe he went to Univ Michigan for his MD
To be totally fair, once you get to grad school bets are off. Particularly if you’re getting a MD.

I got my MBA from Indiana. Still have never worn a piece of IU apparel and don’t come close to actively supporting them in anything sports related.

They can field two different starting 5s that could be top 10 teams in college basketball. That depth will be useful in a 40-game season.

May as well enjoy college basketball while the Illini are competitive. Weekend 1 of college football showed us the eventual reality of the NIL era. We’re headed for a world like club soccer where 4-5 teams basically rotate winning chips.
