or 2 burgers & fries at Five Guys

I was in one a few months back
I ordered 2 fully dressed out bacon burger meals and the guy says $38. I said “cancel the order” and walked out .
Absolutely. I've only eaten there twice (family of four) and both times the bill was $70-something. Pass.

With the Big Ten expansion are all our games still going to be on tv? It seems as we add teams it will be harder to fit all games on tv even with big ten network and fox. I worry that we will have to pay for a big ten plus to see all our games in the future. I hope I am wrong.

The reason the Big Ten and Sec emerge as the two top conferences was due to the fact it was east to find their games. The big ten was better allowing fans to follow their school football or basketball program. You turn on ESPN Big Ten or Fox. No other conference did that.
I’m with you on this. I already have the BTN, which is the only remaining reason I have a cable subscription at all. If it requires a + subscription to watch college football then I’ll be happy to follow the play-by-play on AM radio. Hell, even the game threads give a vicarious emotional roller coaster experience (had to do that last season because of work).

“But it’s only a few dollars more.”

Oh, I have the money, but also the sense not to hand it to everyone who comes asking.

Not sure I feel great about the circumstances, but continued expansion always felt inevitable. You're not Nostradamus, but I do appreciate everything you've contributed to this thread, Gritty.

At least we have to comfort of knowing, based on how methodical and circumspect the process has demonstrated itself to be over the past 48 hours, that is a soundly-reasoned decision by all parties that was in no way panic-driven or short-sighted. Great job everyone.
in the end, both schools correctly figured 50% of 4x was better than 100% of x after consulting with their Math Depts

10 conference games must be coming. You can easily amend the 2024-25 schedule by making the west coast schools play each other extra to ease travel. I imagine USC may put up a big stink about playing these teams if they didn't want them in the conference, but I will just assume this gets done to ease travel. Maybe the northern and southern teams aren't permanent rivals, but just for the first set of schedules so everyone can get used to this.

Annual Rivalries (Bold = permanent, otherwise rotating)
Illinois - Northwestern, Purdue, Ohio State
Indiana - Purdue, Michigan State, Maryland
Iowa - Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin
Maryland - Rutgers, Indiana, Michigan
Michigan - Ohio State, Michigan State, Maryland
Michigan State - Michigan, Penn State, Indiana
Minnesota - Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska,
Nebraska - Iowa, Minnesota, Rutgers
Northwestern - Illinois, Ohio State, Purdue
Ohio State - Michigan, Illinois, Northwestern
Oregon - Washington, USC, UCLA
Penn State - Michigan State, Wisconsin, Rutgers

Rutgers - Maryland, Penn State, Nebraska
UCLA - USC, Oregon, Washington

Instant reaction, we will get a new football schedule for 2024 and we will some how get both tOSU and Michigan.
Lol. Honestly, all I want with a new schedule is for the Iowa home game to not be in frickin' November like it used to be every year with the divisions ... that is a game against a rival that usually brings a decent number of fans, and it should be in good weather!
