2 things and then I never listened to him again: (1) Ripped on Bielema when he commented on our lack of depth on the OL — DB: “They should all quit tomorrow”; (2) Ripping on Underwood for sitting Curbelo in the second half of our tourney loss — DB: “He should transfer tomorrow.”

Never has the facts, but always spews his sh*t.

I kind of wish we didn’t have this thread b/c idiots like DB think they’re relevant as long as people are talking about him … one way or the other. I recommend no one click the links of his podcast.

He finally stopped saying Lawrence what's my 1st rule...don't make the listeners more stupid...I was so sick of that...

I had not listened to him or the Score in years . in the rare times I did , I would say there is not a guy on earth I disagree more with on just about every subject there is .

He just rubbed me the wrong way on just about everything

It's not the worst thing to have someone tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

He’s the worst. Smug, arrogant, condescending. When him and Bores found a way to dislike and bag on the 05 Illini hoops team, I was done w 670
The Score-aka Northwestern’s media relations office…..

If I recall, wasn't he also driving the TSJ is guilty because where there's smoke there's fire bandwagon?

We have one poster here defending him for some reason, and everyone else calling him out for the obnoxious, arrogant, a-hole that he is.

For me, it wasn't just how he looked for any reason possible to put down U of I sports (which obviously much of the time we deserved). It was just his over the top negative, condescending attitude on literally everything, and how he always acted like he knows more than everyone else. Which he didn't come close to doing.

With all due respect, have you seen some of the people downstate? :)

What did you expect them to talk about, especially during the early days of the pandemic?
Item 1) Have a daughter, SIL, and grandchildren in Algonquin. I bought a house in her neighborhood at an auction of uninhabitable houses. Person had moved out, the roof leaked a little, causing no damage, but there was an approximate 4" circle of black mold on the ceiling. I bought the house for less than half of what it brought the previous time it sold, fixed the roof, killed and cleaned up the mold, and painted the ceiling for less than $300 in less than a week. Used the house when we were there, sold it for more than twice what I paid. A little downstate ingenuity made a lot of money off those smart city people.

Item 2) Sports. They are a sports station.

Not downstate, but not sure I'd call Algonquin city people...

I think we found Dan Bernsteins troll account.
Absolutely ironic if you put all Hoosier's posts together.

Tongue-in-cheek (don't think he really meant it) insults down-staters while choosing to live in Indiana and obsessively following EIU sports.

I guess if they just syndicated the DB show on Peacock then his personal nirvana could be achieved.

On the other hand, I was an early Peacock naysayer but these days agree with Hoosier, it's pretty good.

A few things here...

I've lived back in Illinois for nearly a decade. I originally created this account when I lived in Indianapolis.

I don't obsessively follow EIU sports. To be honest, football is the only one I follow extensively. Won't really follow the men's hoops team until Marty is out.

I've had Peacock for years in part because of WWE and Premier League. Will still keep it now even though WWE is moving most of their stuff off of there.

Bernstein wouldn't let me on his show to discuss the death of Rashidi Wheeler on the same day Tim Beckman got fired. I wanted to point out that NU abused players too, even causing the death of one player. His screener said "that was in the past". Bernstein finally admitted after the Fitzie news broke that he was groomed by NU to look the other way. Given all sorts of tickets, etc. All he had to do was take my call in 2016.

In other words, what I said about the Score doubling as NW’s media office.

How did your alma mater do today Bernsie? ............I'm sorry. I don't know you like that. I meant Mr. Bernstein.

On his podcast on Friday, he picked the Illini and the points because of how Duke struggled against Elon.

To be honest, he talks about Tulane football more than Duke football but that's more because of Bernstein's son going to school there.
