Need to start wondering how we’re running summer workouts when this seems to keep happening.
Optimism is back on the menu babyGoodman reporting six to eight weeks.
Similar to what I got, I went on the more conservative side.

Eighth*This is what happens when you have all these ninth man conversations. Hope he's back to pants missouri again
Tomi’s basically never been healthy (until this year perhaps).Every year it's someone different and something different. TJ in 23-24, KJ in 24-25, Andrej and KB in 25-26, now Mirk (Not to mention TY)
my optimism never left the menu.......this is part of the path this team has to walk to get back to the FF.....I have complete faith in the coaching staff and players that we will be okay and better after Mirko-Man gets a clean bill of health.............Optimism is back on the menu baby

I made a deeply analytical graph of what I imagine the realist Illini fan's optimism levels will be when we look back on this offseason:

Let’s say it’s 10 weeks (worst case scenario).Goodman reporting six to eight weeks.

Welcome to team sports. Every team has injuries.Every year: Par for the #$#%#$ course!
But does it? Illinois seems to have avoid injuries more than other teams. Aside from Brian Randle and Boswell last year, there have not been that many. Maybe some nagging injuries. And those were role players not a star like Mirk. Everyone loses a Ty Rodgers level player each year. This happens every friggin time they are suppose to do something good!
Just awful. If it’s conference play, gotta assume there’s a chance he doesn’t come back and just begins preparing for the draft at that point.I heard 3 months and back during conference play...but who knows at this point. Gotta love our preseason luck...
Highly doubt he’s a first round pick not playing a minute of basketball this year.Just awful. If it’s conference play, gotta assume there’s a chance he doesn’t come back and just begins preparing for the draft at that point.
Appreciate your input sharpshot…3 months would be November return then no? Are you factoring in a 2-4 week ramp up period? I just want him back in time for UConn. We can’t lose to them again!!!I heard 3 months and back during conference play...but who knows at this point. Gotta love our preseason luck...
LOL...one of my favorite posts of all time.Optimism is back on the menu baby

That’s silly. He certainly wouldn’t be a high draft pick if he doesn’t play.Just awful. If it’s conference play, gotta assume there’s a chance he doesn’t come back and just begins preparing for the draft at that point.
Close to 0%..in what world does this make sense.Just awful. If it’s conference play, gotta assume there’s a chance he doesn’t come back and just begins preparing for the draft at that point.
ZERO chance of that happening (unless he gets injured again).Just awful. If it’s conference play, gotta assume there’s a chance he doesn’t come back and just begins preparing for the draft at that point.
I'm well aware of this, but as of late, this is becoming an exhausting YEARLY event.Welcome to team sports. Every team has injuries.
You think this guy might sit the season?Just awful. If it’s conference play, gotta assume there’s a chance he doesn’t come back and just begins preparing for the draft at that point.
