Arsenal got hosed by the ref today- 4 penalty shouts and an incorrectly called offsides

that being said, still should win a 1-0 game against Stoke

77% possession and still lost. we'll be wanting this back at the end of the season.

I don't think there were any valid penalty claims but I do think laca was on side

United is scary right now. 180 minutes of completely dominating soccer. But let's see how they do against a top-half team.

12 hours from Chelsea + Spurs + Wembley. Should be a good one.

I mean yea no excuse not to win. However, bellerin was clearly fouled, there were two handballs which I've seen called hundreds of times and a foul on welbeck. Sure 3 out of the 4 could've gone either way but to go 0/5 is awful luck. Usually 2/5 on those calls would be tough but 0 is just awful.

Welcome to Wembley.:)

Conte has done it again. Changed up the formation and it worked perfectly. I guess now the question is if he stays with a 3-5-2 or goes back to the 3-4-3 once we get our full squad back.

All this talk of Spurs spursing it up again and no one mentions Huddersfield Town getting 6 points in their first two matches?

Wasn't Hull City en fuego last year? Good for them, but let's see where they are 15-20 games in (their schedule is soft for the first 8 games). Like their manager and story though.

Spursing it up? After the second game? :tsk:

It was a 2-1 game in which Tottenham had 68% possession against last season's league winner. Chelsea had 2 shots on goal, and just happened to score on both of them. Tottenham had 14 corners, hit a post and had 2 penalty shouts that went unanswered. It's called being unlucky.

Chelsea 2:0 Everton

Well at least Everton didn't get beat as bad as they did the last time they played at Stamford Bridge but still a rather lackluster performance from the Toffees. Though this is admittedly the 3rd match away from home they've played since last Monday (2 PL matches and a Europa League match) and they haven't won at Stamford Bridge in over 20 years. After the international break next weekend, Everton hosts Spurs on September 9th.

Agree. Everton was overmatched the entire game. I like what Koeman's doing, but there's still a wide gulf between Everton and the top 6.

Liv 4-0 Ars Goals by Firmino, Mane, Salah & Sturridge. Very well executed play by Liverpool in a short week. Liv defense seemed improved plus no set piece lapses for once, but Karius in goal does not inspire confidence. 4 goals scored but there were many other opportunities. A solid win at Anfield that seems to raise additional questions about Arsenal's 17/18 competitiveness.

Chelsea and Liverpool both with the 3 easiest points they'll get all season. Everton and Arsenal didn't even show up today. Kind of disappointing as it was shaping up to be a great Sunday of soccer.

Serge Aurier to Tottenham appears to be complete. An upgrade on Walker for less than half the price. Brilliant business by levy.
