The biggest problem that Bayern has is the stain of Spursiness sticking with Harry Kane. They finished 3rd in the Bundesliga table this season behind Leverkusen and Stuttgart. They haven't finished that "low" in the table since 2010-11.
I'm normally not one to believe in curses or superstition, but it's eerie how this happens with Harry Kane. Even though he played well this year for Bayern, we know what happened with results. We'll see what happens with England this summer, as I feel like England has as good of a chance as anyone to win the Euros (there is not a clear favorite in the Euros - I'd probably pick France just because of their recent track record, but England is as talented as anyone).

I'm personally in the camp that Kompany could be a home run hire for Bayern. Tuchel was never a good stylistic fit for them - he's closer to Mourinho than he is Pep or Klopp on the spectrum of "negative/defensive" to "front foot/attacking" soccer. If nothing else, Bayern will be entertaining to watch. Most games could be 5-3, but just not sure on which side Bayern will be for those matches. :)

I made the comment recently to someone that the reason that Sunak called for an early general election on July 4 is because he didn't think the Three Lions would flame out that quickly in the Euros.

Premier League fixtures for 2024/25 has been released: https://www.premierleague.com/news/4040106

Season begins on August 16th with Manchester United hosting Fulham.
I get why the Premier League does it, but it would be nice to see the newly promoted teams have an opening game or two where they have a fighting chance to be competitive. Ipswich could be a cool story this year, but facing Liverpool right out of the gate is a tough ask.

Man City vs Chelsea would have been a lot more fun if Chelsea hadn’t run off Pochettino (and I firmly believe that’s what happened).

One thing I dislike (and this is probably more relevant to just me) is that Everton doesn't get a match at home to close Goodison the final week of the season. Their final home match at Goodison is the penultimate weekend vs. Southampton. They travel to Newcastle on the final weekend.

So just to follow up on this, this is actually not as big of an issue for me now. The club specifically requested to have their final home match on the penultimate weekend. They felt that if they hosted the final Goodison Park match on Championship Sunday, it would be overshadowed by the other stuff going on in the Premier League that day.
