Luton Town's Premier League home opener vs. Burnley postponed after they failed to guarantee that the £10 million (roughly $13.1 million) upgrade of their stadium would be completed in time for the start of the season.
Do you think they will get the necessary upgrades or play their games somewhere else?
On a side note, when is our favorite team (Everton) going to finally sign a good forward who can score?

It's gonna be a race against time for Luton Town to get the upgrades. I know that the PL has already given them a special dispensation for not having undersoil heating.

As far as Everton, they have made a couple signings in the summer transfer window but I'm sure some of the Financial Fair Play stuff is at play. They got Ashley Young from Aston Villa, who I would assume is taking Yerry Mina's spot on the roster. They also got Arnaut Danjuma, a Dutch player, on loan from Villareal as a forward.

In terms of the players you would have seen at the end of last season, both Tom Davies and Yerry Mina are free agents and have not signed elsewhere as far as I'm aware. Ellis Simms is now playing for Championship side Coventry City.

I think Mina just signed somewhere in the last 24 hours. (Fiorentina)

Season hasn't even started yet and we already have our first coaching change.

Julen Lopetegui has left Wolves due to difference of opinion. Lopetegui is reportedly unhappy with the lack of investment in the squad. The club has lost 5 players since the end of last season. Ruben Neves is playing in the Saudi league. Nathan Collins is at Brentford. Conor Coady, who was on loan to Everton last season but went back to Wolves after the season ended, is now at Leicester City. Raul Jimenez is at Fulham. And Ryan Giles is playing for Luton Town.

Gary O'Neil, who was the Bournemouth manager last season, is reportedly set to be Lopetegui's replacement.

It is nice to hear Jon Champion doing play by play for the Premier League matches on NBC/Peacock. Looks like they'll mainly have him calling the late Sunday morning (U.S. time) matches when Peter Drury is working those matches for Sky Sports in the UK.

We have to start capitalizing on our opportunities, especially against teams we have a chance to beat. We don't want to be stressed the last couple weeks of the season.
Everton having trouble finishing on offense since DCL isn't available or fit and opposing side scores a goal.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Totally agreed. I did see they're getting Jack Harrison from Leeds United but it sounds like he won't be able to play until after the international break at the earliest (October seems more likely from what I've read). I also saw they're linked to another Leeds player as well as a player from PSG.

It also sounds like they're going to have a behind closed doors friendly this week but that's going to be more about getting the fitness level of players like DCL, Mykolenko and Danjuma up.

How Everton supporters feel to finally see their club score a goal in a match:

Yes, it's a Carabao Cup match against a 4th division side but I'll take what I can get at this point.

I got to watch a good portion of the match. The first half was painful to watch, as Everton seemed out of sorts and were getting outplayed. The second half they started getting it together. Danjuma looked decent and scored a really nice goal. Beto was fun to watch and will cause some match up problems in the EPL because of his size and strength. Beto scored a goal and almost got a 2nd, when he drilled a hard header off the post.
Even though it didn't count in the standings, and was against a weaker opponent, they have to feel some sense of relief to win a game and to score a couple goals.
