Heading into the first international break, is this how everyone though the EPL Table would look after 4 matches?

How Everton supporters feel after their side not only wins a PL match at home but also scores multiple goals:

In all seriousness though, this was a good result to get. Especially going into the international break next weekend as their first match coming off of that break is the Merseyside derby at Anfield.

Any reason you're linking this article from last April? Not trying to be snarky. Just genuinely curious.

Didn't realize it was from April. It was linked in one of the most commented on posts on r/Soccer recently, as Everton are facing a possible 12 point deduction as a result of a FFP punishment.

Everton hit with a 10 point deduction for breaching the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability rules. The deduction has them in the relegation zone, ahead of Burnley on goal difference. The club has said they will appeal the decision.

given how bad the bottom three clubs have been, i think they'll be fine.

Same here. If it had been the last two seasons, I'd have thought they'd have huge issues avoiding relegation. With their form thus far this season (especially with how Jack Harrison has looked), I'm not as concerned.

One of the ESPN FC writers said he thought that Everton's punishment (which they said they could see being reduced down to an 8 point deduction on appeal) meant that what Man City get could be worse including either a point deduction, massive fines, or relegation.

There's also the issues that Chelsea are dealing with right now as well.

Had our first in-season sacking this season yesterday. Sheffield United sacked Paul Heckingbottom, who had managed the club for just over 2 years. Heckingbottom was replaced by Chris Wilder, who was the Blades manager the previous time they were in the Premier League and who Heckingbottom replaced on an interim basis after Wilder was sacked by the club back in 2021.

Bournemouth-Luton Town match has been suspended in the 2nd half with the match tied at 1 due to a medical issue involving Tom Lockyer. Sounds as if he may have collapsed on the field.

Lockyer was stretchered off in the 1st half of the Championship play-off final last season after collapsing on the field. He was later diagnosed with an atrial fibrillation but was given the all clear to resume his playing career after surgery.
