Leicester officially relegated.

Ipswich holds onto the thinnest thread. they would have to win out while West Ham loses out and make up 20 goal differential. they will likely get relegated when they travel to Newcastle. an even thinner thread of hope would be Man City getting docked 40 points for FFP.

Likely only a slightly smaller chance of finding this guy . . .

Leeds United and Burnley have both clinched the automatic promotion spots from the EFL Championship to the Premier League after today's results. Leeds United defeated Stoke City 6:0 and Burnley defeated Sheffield United 2:1.

Sheffield United and Sunderland have both clinched spots in the promotion playoffs. The other two spots are currently held by Bristol City and Coventry City with Middlesbrough, Millwall, and Blackburn Rovers still with a chance to qualify. West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City still have an outside shot but it's probably a longshot for them to get in.

Today was the final day of play in the EFL Championship and League One.

All that was left to be decided in the Championship were the final two spots for the promotion playoffs and the relegated teams. After today's final matches, Coventry City and Bristol City got the final two spots so the promotion playoffs will be Bristol City-Sheffield United and Coventry City-Sunderland. The playoffs begin on May 8 with the promotion final on May 24. In terms of relegation, Cardiff City, Plymouth Argyle, and Luton Town move down to League One. Luton Town was tied with Hull City on points but had an inferior goal difference so they end up being relegated in consecutive seasons.

In League One, it will be Leyton Orient-Stockport County and Wycombe Wanderers-Charlton Athletic in the promotion playoffs.

Bournemouth get their first ever win at Arsenal today.
Arsenal and Nottingham Forest both limping down the stretch. Arsenal leaving the door open for Manchester City, Newcastle, Chelsea to overtake them. Nottingham Forest probably won't get UCL but they will very likely still earn a spot somewhere in Europe.

Chelsea is the only one of those 4 I could see that might have an issue finishing top 5 as their schedule down the stretch is brutal. They're away to Newcastle, home to Man U (who granted isn't great but won't be easy), and away to Forest.

Gonna be an emotional weekend at Goodison Park for the final Everton match at the Grand Old Lady. Very early start on Sunday too with kickoff set for 6:00 AM Central.

No games this weekend on Saturday due to the FA Cup final between Palace and City.

palace defeats city to win the FA cup with the lone goal from Eze. might be some offers for him to move this summer to a bigger club.

With Palace's win today, Chris Richards has joined Tim Howard as the only Americans to play in and win an FA Cup final.

Matt Turner was an unused substitute but becomes the third American to be on an FA Cup final winning side.

Everton win their Goodison Park farewell 2:0 over Southampton with both goals scored by Ndiaye.

Could certainly see how tough a day it was for some of the longtime supporters of the club as the cameras showed many of them in the stands starting to tear up as the final seconds ticked away in the 2nd half.

Congrats @KBLEE . To be honest, I was rooting for Spurs to win Europa League. Mainly because the low finish in the table and no European football means Manchester United will have an absolute financial meltdown.

congrats to spurs finally winning something. was it enough to salvage the season and save ange's job for another year?

It’s been a really strange year in European soccer. The Europa League final featuring the 16th and 17th place teams in the Premier League was pretty much the chef’s kiss for that.

I think so? Very tough call for the clubs decision makers. If they were to make a change, this would be a great time with Champions League on the horizon and would hate for a slow start next year in CL and the Prem result in Ange being canned and a missed opportunity to find a long term manager during the period where we have something to sell to a top manager. I've always been a huge fan of Ange through the ups and downs of his couple years here, probably more so because I just think he's a heck of a person and appreciate how hard he's worked to get to where he currently is.
